Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza The world's largest charitable ice fishing tournament held on Gull Lake, Minnesota. +200k in prizes.
(214)

The volunteer-run Extravaganza draws over 10,000 anglers annually who compete for more than $150,000 in prizes. There are nearly 200 prizes ranging from a new Ford 4x4 Pick-up to Polaris ATVs to Ice Castle Fish Houses and a number of other ice fishing related prizes – not one less than $250 in value. All of the proceeds are donated to area non-profit organizations with Confidence Learning Center—an outdoor center for persons with developmental disabilities (www.campconfidence.com)—being the primary beneficiary. It takes three days to set-up the event site which becomes the second largest city in Crow Wing County that Saturday. There are approximately 20,000 holes pre-drilled for the anglers to choose from. Official information, tickets, and current updates can be found at www.icefishing.org. The Brainerd Jaycees are a community and leadership development organization for men and women ages 18-40. Founded in 1939 they have grown to over 130 members in the Brainerd Lakes area. Collectively the members of the Brainerd chapter donate over 20,000 hours and $250,000 to area charities and causes each year. Ice fishing season has officially started! 🎣❄️ One of our first planning meetings for the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza was last night — wings, laughs, and great energy at Schroeder's Home Center.

If you're 18-40 and looking for ways to build leadership skills, meet driven people, and actually give back to your community — this is exactly what we do. We plan events like this one, but it's really about the people you meet and the person you become along the way.

WHAT. A. WEEKEND. 🎣🔥
We laughed. We cheered. We (maybe) yelled “FISH ON!” at strangers. Iconic.

Now… mark your calendars for FEBRUARY 6, 2027 because we’re coming back for the 37th Annual Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza and it’s going to be BIGGER. LOUDER. ICY-ER. ❄️😤

But first… we must recover.
We’re entering full hibernation mode like bears in winter 🐻💤
If you need us, we’ll be under 14 blankets dreaming of fish and hotdish.

Don’t worry though — we’ve still got amazing sponsors to shout out and content to drop, so keep your eyes peeled 👀
