Every year, Camp Sertoma reminds us why this week means so much.

Today we received this sweet thank-you card from our campers, covered with colorful signatures, names, and heartfelt messages. While it may just look like ink on paper, to us it represents a community where everyone belongs.

To each camper who signed this card: thank you. Your smiles, energy, and joy are what make Camp Sertoma such a special place!

And to our counselors, volunteers, board members, donors, families, and supporters - this card belongs to you too. Your time, generosity, and dedication help make these life-changing experiences possible year after year.

A Huge Thank You to Our Camp Photographer, Ebon Newenhouse!

Behind every smile, every adventure, and every unforgettable Camp Sertoma moment is someone making sure those memories last a lifetime.

From hiking alongside campers and joining in on activities to braving the heat and smoke without missing a beat, Ebon has been there to capture the laughter, friendships, and joy that make Camp Sertoma so special. His photos tell the story of camp in a way words never could.

When asked what he loves most about Camp Sertoma, Ebon shared:

“I love being able to interact with the campers, experience camp from a different perspective, and get to know each camper’s unique personality, even from behind the camera.”

That heart for our campers shines through in every photo he takes.

This year is especially bittersweet, as it marks Ebon’s final summer with Camp Sertoma before he begins a new adventure by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps this September. While we’ll certainly miss having him behind the camera, we couldn’t be more proud of him as he takes this next step in serving our country.

On behalf of our campers, counselors, volunteers, board members, and families - thank you, Ebon, for giving your time, talent, and heart to Camp Sertoma. Because of you, these incredible moments will be treasured for years to come.

Camp may have come to a close, but we’re not done sharing the memories just yet!

Yesterday was filled with smiles, laughter, heartfelt goodbyes, and so many moments that remind us why Camp Sertoma is so special. While our campers may be heading home, the memories they created will stay with us all year long.

Today is our final day of Camp Sertoma 2026!

What an incredible week it has been. We are so grateful to our campers, counselors, volunteers, staff, and families for making Camp Sertoma such an amazing experience.

As we wrap up another unforgettable year, we look forward to celebrating one last morning together before everyone heads home.

The Camp Sertoma Talent Show is in Full Swing!

The stage is alive with singing, dancing, comedy, music, and so much more as our campers share their unique talents with one another! From hilarious performances to heartfelt acts, every camper has the chance to shine in their own way.

The talent show is one of our Camp Sertoma favorites because it’s not about being perfect - it’s about having the confidence to step on stage, celebrate each other, and have fun! The cheers from fellow campers and counselors remind us that everyone has something special to share.

Last night, we gathered for our member meeting to celebrate the incredible people who make our Sertoma community so special.

First and foremost, we want to recognize Benjamin Buckley, who was awarded the Sy Gau Memorial Scholarship! As a longtime Camp Sertoma counselor and dedicated Sertoma member, Ben’s unwavering commitment to our campers and mission continues to inspire everyone around him. This recognition is well deserved, and we couldn’t be happier for him!

We would also like to congratulate our Rookie of the Year recipients, Hailey King and Mel Bowers Newenhouse, for their outstanding dedication and leadership as Camp Sertoma board members. Your passion and commitment have already made a lasting impact, and we are grateful to have you both as part of our team!

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to every member whose time, talents, and heart help make Camp Sertoma such a special place. Here’s to another year of serving our campers and communities together!

Day 3 at Camp Sertoma was another incredible day, even with the summer heat and smoky conditions. The safety and well-being of our campers, volunteers, and staff remain our top priority, so we took extra precautions throughout the day by adjusting activities as needed, encouraging plenty of water breaks, spending more time indoors when appropriate, and keeping a close eye on everyone.

Despite the weather, camp spirit hasn’t slowed down one bit! Laughter and unforgettable experiences continue to fill every corner of camp. Our campers are making the most of every moment, and we’re so grateful for the amazing volunteers and staff who help make Camp Sertoma a safe and fun place for everyone!

The fun didn’t stop when the temps started to cool!

Our campers wrapped up another fantastic day by enjoying time with their cabin groups, sharing plenty of laughs, and taking part in the evening’s activities. After a hot day in the Minnesota sunshine, it was the perfect way to wind down while continuing to enjoy everything Camp Sertoma has to offer.

From morning adventures to evening fun, Day 2 was one for the books. We can’t wait to share what Day 3 has in store!
