The primary purpose of the Foundation is to have a positive impact on its community by providing a variety of grants to other 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Minnesota and other areas of the Midwest in order to assist those organizations in furthering their charitable, educational, scientific, or other exempt purposes. The Foundation plans to further this purpo
se of positively impacting its community through providing these grants and resources to a broad variety of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, ranging from organizations that protect, sustain, restore and enhance fisheries and their habitats for current and future generations and to organizations that provide assistance and enrichment of the lives of children and families through the sport of fishing. Walleye habitats face threats due to agricultural expansion, water use and drought, a growing population on all lakes in Minnesota, urban sprawl, aquatic invasive species, and mining exploitation The Foundation has a broad range of philanthropic interests in pursuing its purpose, and plans to provide this financial support to a wide variety of 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organizations throughout the Midwest. Additionally, the Foundation plans to further its exempt purposes through grant-making to local Minnesota colleges and universities for the purposes of providing financial support for research and action related to protecting, sustaining, restoring and enhancing fisheries and their habitat. These actions will positively impact the community of which the Foundation is part of.
