Communities of Transformation (COT) in Bradford, PA, invites you to join a powerful program that uplifts individuals and families by addressing all forms of poverty—spiritual, physical, relational, intellectual, and financial. COT works in harmony with existing crisis relief ministries and organizations, serving as the next step to equip people with tools to grow, thrive, and help others do the same.
Our 12-week Awaken Class brings together participants and trained volunteers from diverse backgrounds and experiences, reflecting the ecumenical heart of our mission. Each weekly meeting starts with a shared meal, creating a warm environment for building trust and community. We engage in practical discussions on topics like relationships, health, finances, and personal goals, fostering development and mutual encouragement.
COT partners with local organizations and churches to strengthen Bradford’s community spirit. Join us to support this life-changing work! Together, we can empower our neighbors for lasting change.

Join us for an evening as we explore some concepts regarding happiness from Dr. Arthur C. Brooks and others, as well as some tools to help combat anxiety.

There will be a meal and childcare.

Join us for a workshop that explores how scarcity—whether of time, money, or emotional energy—affects the way we think and make decisions. Participants will learn about the concept of mental bandwidth and how the stress of scarcity can narrow our focus, leading to “tunneling” that limits long-term thinking and creative problem-solving. Through discussion and reflection, we’ll uncover strategies to widen our perspective, manage cognitive load, and make more intentional choices for ourselves and our communities.
