🎅Operation Santa Claus🎅

Please consider donating!

Operation Santa Claus marks its 43rd year of giving to children in the communities of Bradford, Piermont, Fairlee, West Fairlee, Corinth, Orford, Topsham, Vershire and Newbury. Volunteers
plan, shop, select and pack gifts for approximately 180 children each year. Giving gifts of warm clothing, safe, non-violent toys/games, arts & crafts, child friendly food, stockings of personal
items and books.
We are hoping for the continued support by our community citizens and businesses who generously donate to Operation Santa Claus. Operation Santa Claus is a tax-exempt organization. To continue to serve the needs of children in the community, $12,000.00 is required each year. Economic pressures continue to impact many and we are expecting more families to request a helping hand.
We invite you to participate in the act of giving. Each donation, both large and small, can be a powerful gift.

We are looking for volunteers to help make this years Operation Santa Claus come off without a hitch! You don’t have to donate a lot of time, any will help! We have several events that take place between now and Dec.15th. If you are interested, reach out to myself- Janice Thompson, or Jessica Chase for more details. Help to make sure that a child has a gift of some kind under the tree this year!

Last Saturday Operation Santa Claus handed out toys, food bags, and stocking bags to 58 families/146 kids through a drive thru at the Bradford Community Center. This may have been a very different year for so many things due to Covid, but one thing rang true, we still needed to make sure that kids in our communities woke up to a gift under their tree come Christmas morning. I would like to thank all the people that sent in donations to make sure this could happen, all of our helpers on Saturday morning, and all the people behind the scenes that it requires to pull this off. Please think about volunteering for this amazing organization next year, when hopefully things will be back to a more normal state. Many hands make light work! Merry Christmas Everyone!!! 🎄🎅🏻

We wanted to let everyone know that we have decided NOT to have a shopping or packing night this year. Operation Santa Claus will still be happening, but we will be doing the shopping other ways. Letters will be going out tomorrow to the applicants, these will be outlining that the pick-up for this year will be done at the Bradford Community Center and this will be a drive-thru pickup. Please keep us in mind for next year as we will hopefully be back to normal and so appreciate all of your help!

We are looking for a few drop off spots in our servicing areas in Vermont for people to drop off gifts that will be donated to OSC. These include Bradford, Fairlee (and West Fairlee), Corinth, Topsham, and Newbury. If your business would be willing to have a drop box in it that is wrapped in Christmas paper with a sign saying what it is for, please comment below. Boxes will be delivered the end of this week. Thank you!!
