Saturday, September 12th is Kickoff Day for the 2026–2027 season, ™ presented by RTX, part of the FIRST® CANOPY™ season!

This year's challenge is all about biodiversity and nature inspired problem solving where teams will use engineering skills to explore the excitement and energy found within the natural world.

FIRST® Tech Challenge is a robotics competition where middle and high school students design, build, and program their own robots to compete head-to-head in an alliance style competition.

Exciting news for Manatee County!

FUNducation is proud to announce new hands-on STEAM programming right here in Manatee County, in partnership with St. Stephen's Episcopal School and fueled by the generous support of the Barancik Foundation!

This partnership brings robotics, coding, engineering, and more directly to students and the community, meeting them where they already are. Look for hands-on STEAM opportunities including:

After-school programming
Spring Break Camp
Summer Camp
Special events throughout the year

We're kicking things off with our Community LEGO Build Event!

FUNducation had such a wonderful time visiting Rae’s Cabaret Cafe at the Manatee Performing Arts Center! It was great meeting the amazing ladies, learning more about the Vocational Learning Lab, and seeing the wonderful work they are doing.

Registration is officially open for MATHCOUNTS 2026-2027!

Calling all Mathletes! MATHCOUNTS is a nationwide math competition program that challenges middle school students to sharpen their problem-solving skills, build confidence, and have fun doing it.

Our Sarasota-Manatee program is proudly hosted locally with teacher coaches and the Myakka Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society.

Why STEAM? Why now?

FUNducation exists to close the opportunity gap, giving kids hands-on access to robotics, coding, engineering, and more. Every drone flown, every robot built, and every "aha!" moment proves what's possible when a community invests in its youth.

Watching you grow into future STEAM professionals has been one of the highlights of our summer, and we can't wait to see everything you go on to accomplish. Wishing you the very best on your next chapter!

To our returning interns: thank you for choosing to spend part of your summer vacation with us, again! Your continued leadership and impact are a huge reason we're able to grow our mission year after year. We're so grateful for you.
