Today (6/17) at 6PM - Manga Meet-up: Come talk about your favorite manga with other manga fans! Or learn where to start if you are just diving into the world.
No pre-reading required.

Thursday, 6/18 at 8PM- Ladies & Non-Binary Nerd Night: It’s time for our monthly after-hours hang out. Come enjoy some snacks, drinks, and good company with a casual get together.

Saturday, 6/20 at 11:30AM - Comic Creation Workshop: Bring the kids out for an awesome time learning to make their own comics. We’ll create characters and take them on an adventure through the story in this fun-filled workshop.

Saturday, 6/20 at 3PM - SLAM Academy: This week’s two hour advanced class is focusing on World Building for storytelling. Learn to build out everything your culture and setting needs to make your story dynamic.

As always all events are free and no sign up is necessary.

And don’t forget today is New Comic Book Day, so come check out all the new titles!

Yesterday was all about drawing!

In Ms. K-80’s Kids’ Art Class in the morning we learned how to draw some cool new things and then put them into a four panel comic.

Then artist, Dean, lead our SLAM students through an intense course of character design and figure drawing! Thanks for coming out and making art with us, everyone!

You can still express your creative side today with some self-guided fun during Sunday Crafternoon! Supplies will be on the table all day for collage art and a summer craft!

Store is open 11AM-7PM, so stop on in!

Today (6/10) at 6PM is our monthly Zine Night! Come draw, write, collage your way to a page in this month’s collaborative zine. Or craft your own mini zine!

Thurs, June 11 at 7PM: Fresh Start Book Club is discussing Time Before Time #1. As always we only discuss the first issue in a series so it’s easy to jump in. Come explore this sci-fi thriller! Copies of the book are only $1 at the shop. No purchase necessary to attend.

Saturday, June 13 is a double header of art classes!

12PM - Kids who love drawing can join Ms. K-80 for her monthly beginner’s art class! Learn how shapes can help build art and walk away with a four panel comic featuring your designs.

3PM: Join artist, Sarah Dean, as she dives into advanced Character Design and Figure Drawing skills in our next SLAM Academy course. This is a 2-hour course made for advanced students.
