Camp Monty

Life Impact For Eternity (LIFE) uses sports and teaching English to bring young people together in youth camps. Can’t wait!!

The Hotel Onogost is used as the headquarters for Camp Monty and it also provides housing for the camp personnel. The response has been quite enthusiastic with many Montenegrin teens attending Camp Monty in 2007 through 2010. Plans are underway for another Camp Monty in Niksic, August 1-5, 2011.

Our Story

Camp Monty is a sports camp ministry that is free to the young children and teens of Niksic, Montenegro, and is powered by volunteers who donate their time every summer.

Camp Monty started in the city of Niksic, Montenegro in the summer of 2007. Eric Murphy came to Niksic to connect with young people. He brought Americans, Romanians and Hungarians to teach English, basketball, soccer [football] and crafts.

Immediately, a partnership was forged with The English Language Center in Niksic. Since then, LIFE has developed a partnership with the OFK Football Center led by one of Yugoslavia's most famous sports heroes, Dragan Marojevic, and the Sportski Centar of Niksic, the two leading sports facilities and programs in this city.

The response has been amazing as we have watched God work in the hearts and lives of the people of Montenegro. Thousands of young children and teens have attended Camp Monty from our humble beginnings in 2007. Many of them have returned year after year are now leaders at the camp. They help to translate, lead sporting events, and teach the younger kids about the love of Jesus. There is still so much to be done! We would love to have you with us at Camp Monty 2018. Help us to reach out into the city of Niksic, Montenegro and share the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ with this city. They are open and ready to hear, but there are so many more people than there are workers. Join us! Help us to spread the love of Jesus to young kids, teens, and their families.
