We Are Looking For:
- Diverse perspectives
- New and innovative concepts suitable for visual exhibition in ground-floor retail spaces
- Ideas aimed to improve the current business mix and bring excitement, attention, and traffic to the downtown core
- Inclusive solutions that meet the needs of current and future residents
Selected pitchers will collaborate with a graphic artist to transform their idea into an artistic rendering for installation over a vacant storefront window in downtown Bradenton. Community visits and votes will determine the winner of a $1,000 cash prize for Most Inspiring Installation.
Eligibility:
Aspiring or established entrepreneurs ages 14 - 45 (individuals or partnership teams)

Design Downton Bradenton is a community visioning project, combining the worlds of pitch competitions and public art, that empowers community members to conceptualize unique business concepts that envision downtown Bradenton as a vibrant economic attraction. Utilizing empty store fronts, large-scale concept renderings from the pedestrian perspective will be installed to activate dead space and create a continuous, walkable artistic experience. Public interaction will provide feedback for young entrepreneurs and data for economic development interest groups. At the conclusion of the project, a cash prize will be awarded for a top business idea.
