As we continue to recognize Career & Technical Education Month, we're excited to tell you about Nassau County 's Jackson R.! A senior at Hilliard High School, Jackson is also taking CTE coursework through Florida State College at Jacksonville and building work experience at The Golf Club at North Hampton in Fernandina Beach. He plans to continue attending FSC-J after graduation to pursue a career in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology.

We are so very grateful to the Longboat Key Rotary Club for their ongoing support of our Veterans Program!

Yesterday, we were honored to attend their meeting and share more about our work - and the 478 veterans we were able to assist in 2025. With the LBK Rotary Club’s continued generosity (including another check presented yesterday following their support in November), we are excited to serve even more veterans in our communities this year.

Take Stock in Children scholar Zakk Womble was named a Leaders for Life fellow after a three-tier selection process based on personal accomplishments, academic performance, leadership traits and moral character.

He was awarded an Apple laptop during a surprise celebration at school and will be presented with the L4L Fellowship award, a $40,000 scholarship, during special ceremonies at the Capital in Tallahassee this month.

He will also have the privilege of an annual summer conference where he can engage with influential leaders across various fields including medicine, business, philanthropy and the arts.

Additionally, the Fellows participate in a community service project and enjoy bonding, teamwork and recreational activities. The conference focuses on hands-on leadership training, personal development, industry insights and networking opportunities with the goal of preparing L4L Fellows for personal and professional success.

Zakk will be graduating with his AA from North Florida College just a few days before he completes his senior year at Suwannee High School this May. He will be attending Florida State University this summer and majoring in mathematics.

We are so proud of the accomplishments of this amazing young man and look forward to seeing him flourish in this next stage of life!
