Project Positivity - Win Prizes by completing these simple tasks:

1. Log into Facebook and like/follow the Youth in Action - Bayshore High School page.
2. Search for the other 5 high schools in Manatee and also follow and like their pages on Facebook. Projects will be posted in every school page.
3. The Project - develop a message to the world - A message of positivity that shares ways to keep your mind and body healthy during this time of social distancing. How to help one another, to keep a positive, hopeful attitude and how to make healthy decisions.
The message can be in the form of artwork, a picture, a poem, a song, a video, in writing - or any other creative way.
Before being posted - it will need to be approved by your teacher.

Students:
• Step 2: Follow all of the Manatee County Youth In Action team pages
(SOUTHEAST, MANATEE, LAKEWOOD RANCH, BRADEN RIVER, BAYSHORE,
SCF-CS, HEALTHY TEENS COALITION) as well as DRUG FREE MANATEE. We
want to be able to see and share all our amazing projects with one
another!
• Step 3: CREATE YOUR PROJECT
o Everyone has gifts and talents within them. This project will allow
you to express yourself in a creative way. Though this creative
expression it can help uplift your spirits and those around you.
o Your project must have a message of positivity that shares ways to
keep your mind and body healthy during this time of social
distancing. How can we keep ourselves positive, hopeful and
making healthy decisions?
o You are free to create your positive message through artwork,
poetry, music, writing, etc. Create a YouTube video, take pictures &
HAVE FUN! This is an opportunity to be your authentic self so be
creative! You may collaborate with other YIA team members if you
are able to do so virtually (example: singing a song you wrote
together via video, etc.).
• Step 4: Send your project to your advisor for approval & POST TO YOUR
YIA FACEBOOK PAGE! Post a personal message about your project, TAG
Drug Free Manatee, & include the following hashtags:

• The first 20 students who post their projects will receive a CHICK-FIL-A
GIFTCARD!
• ALL participants will receive a limited-edition Youth In Action phone POP
SOCKET.
• Prizes will be awarded to the students in the following categories:
o MOST LIKES
o MOST SHARES
o MOST INSPIRING
o BEST OVERALL CREATIVITY
o BEST YIA TEAM COLLABORATION/ENGAGEMENT
o BEST ARTWORK
o BEST SONG/RAP/SPOKEN WORD

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PROJECT: Monday, APRIL 20th at
NOON.
