Generously Chartered by the Braddock Heights Community Association, Cub Scout Pack 278 has been serving the local Braddock Heights, Middletown, Jefferson, and Frederick, Maryland Area Scouts for over 60 years. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. The Boy Scouts of America provides youth wi
th programs and activities that allow them to:
• Try new things.
• Provide service to others.
• Build self-confidence.
• Reinforce ethical standards. While various activities and youth groups teach basic skills and promote teamwork, Scouting goes beyond that and encourages youth to achieve a deeper appreciation for service to others in their community. It is communicated to them that those in the Scouting family care about what happens to them, regardless of whether a game is won or lost. Cub Scouting is one of the few programs that is family oriented. What that means is Scouting encourages the whole family to participate/attend events to help your son as he grows preparing him for Boy Scouts. Scouting is FUN and even siblings will look forward to coming! No need to find babysitters to attend events.
