Inclusion: Harmony’s Beauty (V.2-i.289) The Unity Message
~ HOLY WISDOM OF HARMONY: Bless us today in harmony and balance, wherein all the world’s thoughts, words, and deeds are perfectly in their proper place. We are grateful for the harmony of Divine Wisdom and Love. AMEN

Our word of good today is: INCLUSION. Our affirmation of grace is: ROOTED IN LOVE, I CREATE ROOM FOR ALL TO BELONG.

When we choose inclusion, not only in our values but also in our words and actions, we bring more love and belonging into the world. Practicing inclusion reflects the wisdom to recognize the inherent unity of all beings. Like a tree with an abundance of branches, all of humanity shares roots and a connection to the same Divine Source.

We look beyond personal histories and divergent paths to see kindred spirits, each deserving to enjoy the world’s wonders, feel safe and secure, and live fully and freely. We open our hearts and minds to all others, with a spirit of curiosity and acceptance. Inclusion is a spiritual practice, a way of beholding the Christ presence in everyone we meet.

“Welcome one another therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” – Romans 15:7

Let us appreciate that harmony in wisdom and love means all, yes all, the parts in the whole of existence are in relationship, seeking a path of good and proper fit in the Divine. Everything and everyone, each part, person, perspective, has something that requires, through Divine Love, to be included in the whole of reality. Nothing in the Divine is meaningless or without a merit of attentive awareness of its part in the play of life.

We may wish to distance ourselves, or even eliminate from our mind’s eye, something which we find unjust or disharmonious. Nonetheless, our awareness of our dislike for something is a necessity, so that we can then, through our personal sense of compassion, know, discern, and call upon Divine Guidance for the relief of suffering. Perhaps suffering exists, in a sense, to awaken us... so that we rise to Divine communion, where we invite the Divine to gift the essential blessing of grace for the transformation of disharmony to restored balance.

I have come to recognize that every disappointment, illness, injury, and, every moment of suffering in my life, even when initially a plunge downward, also had a turning point, where Divine Grace came into the situation and bathed me in the possibility of recovery and re-establishment of a more productive way of seeing. ~ and moving toward ~ a restoration of creative possibility.
Of course, there have been some embedded memories of past challenges that stubbornly resisted being seen as an ultimate blessing of the turning to the Divine.

Over time, what was once invisible to me, has become a visible willingness to include the difficulty as a part of the Divine experiencing itself. I have come to accept that I have been included in playing my part in this wondrous, yet mysterious, “life-scape” (landscape of experiential reality) of the All as All, the One as One. I have for the most part, gotten over my reluctance for including the hard and rough into my love of the Divine experiment.

The love of the Divine, in all our ups and downs, Is an absolute love. As the Divine includes all the differences and varieties lovingly, so might we. AMEN

One World, One Family

Joy To / For The World (V.2-i.288) The unity Message
~ HOLY SPIRIT OF JOYOUS COMFORT: Bless us today with a joy that lets the universe be what it is, as it reveals itself each moment. Let us accept the world as a joy of honest wonder, however it shows up. AMEN

Our word of wonder today is JOY. Our affirmation of joyous acceptance is: THE JOY WITHIN ME IS MY PEACE AND PROTECTION.

Joy is our constant, throughout the ebb and flow of our lifetimes. Our happiness may come and go with life’s triumphs and seeming defeats, but joy is a part of us, always ours to call upon as we meet changing circumstances. Living in a state of joy means that we carry the peace and presence of the Divine within us. We are rooted in this presence, so we remain positive if we face disappointments, resilient in times of struggle, and faith-filled in times of uncertainty. Drawing upon our joy helps us live boldly and confidently. We need not shrink from the difficult moments or feel afraid to reach for our goals, for there is the protecting presence and guidance of the Divine within us. This is the source of our joy.

“My brothers and sisters, whenever you face various trials, consider it all joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” – James 1:2-3

Life is a fullness at all times, in all places ~ holy, complete, sound, and whole. It is full in nature, and in the supra-natural. It is full in the visible and the invisible, in the known and the unknown. As the Unity axiom declares, “There is no spot where God is not.”

The Hermetic foundational statement is; “As above so below, as below so above.” Or as in the Hermetic tones of the Bible; What is loosed on earth is loosed in the heavens, and what is loosed in the heavens is loosed upon the earth.” There is a desire from our earthly realm, to ‘know’. To know that the universe is full and complete is a gift of certainty that arises as a joy within us, and as an affirmation of holy faith in the world, no matter how it comes.

Appearances that seem less than whole are relative to our naturally limited way of seeing and discerning. The joy we feel for life, as it is in its totality, is eternal. It is not relative to time and place. The wholeness and fullness of Divine Grace as gifts given freely to us through inspiration, intuition, and divine images, is a fount of joy that assuredly saturates the invisible divine realms as well. The joy for being alive, for existing, is everywhere; as the divine illumination of Presence and Power. Joy for existing can be realized everywhere in certainty.

The Divine, as illuminate wise light and love, is our source of the sense of joy that is eternally ours to experience; one that is not relative, as is fleeting happy or unhappy feeling when emotionally experienced in a given moment. Joy can be felt in any moment when we accept and give our fullest attention to the Divine as the excellence of life itself. Life is in joy with life.

BEAUTIFUL DIVINE ORDER (V.2-i.287) The Unity Message
~ HOLY SPIRIT OF BEAUTY: Bless us today with deep appreciation for the unfailing grace and good of Divine Order in and around us. Let us embrace the beauty of that truth which sets us free. AMEN

Our words of beauty today are: DIVINE ORDER. Our affirmation of gratitude is: DIVINE ORDER IS THE BLESSING OF MY LIFE.

Plans, schedules, itineraries, – we use these to sequence our steps and organize our priorities. But we are wise not to cling to them too tightly or follow them too rigidly. Instead, let us stay flexible and open to the shifting rhythms of daily divine life. When our plans change unexpectedly, we remain calm and affirm divine order. We are reminded then, that the Divine is in the midst of all circumstances, the Presence and Power that is with us, and as us, always. Delays and perhaps disappointments visit everyone from time to time. We meet these moments grounded in spiritual truth. Divine Order is at hand, the Divine is with and within us, and what may first appear as a problem may well be a blessing in disguise.

“The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.” – Proverbs 16:9

Proverbs is one of the practical wisdom books of the Bible. It is full of advice as to how to live in harmony with life, each other, ourselves, and the Divine. The quote above is grounded in practical wisdom, and deserves a deep exploration.

In our human minds, we utilize beliefs and knowledge from past experience as well, to set expectations, plans, and predictions for the not-yet-arrived future. That is all well and good of course, because our faculty of reasoning for logical conclusions, is a Divine Gift. All these gifts are from the Divine without a doubt, for they are the stream of consciousness living through us in response to circumstance and need. However, they are not the only way we “know wisely.” The can be upset by changes in circumstance. Where then is the ground of being that can keep us steady when things approach us with their unpredictable changeability?

A key, perhaps the key of keys, is our deepest and most profound understanding of the idea that all of the world is birthed, as well as maintained and transformed, in Divine Order. That universal, cosmic order, call it what we like; the wise order of the world, is moving everything in and to its sacred and holy proper place of efficiency & fulfillment. All the time, without error or delay, without a moment of absence or separation, Divine Order is what is absolutely. It is all that is. It is the only thing that is.

In Divine Order, the eternal and infinite is present and expressive, even when things are unexpected or out of our control. The upsets of our lives have Divine Order to them even as they are upsetting. We grow and learn, which is primary to Divine Order to see and know, through all the unexpected circumstance of our lives.

This Presence and Power that is the ground of all being, when truly realized, becomes the beauty of creation. It is the ALL... and our response to that beauty is to say. “YES.” AMEN

FAITHFUL DIVINE ORDER (V.2-i.286) The Unity Message
Editor’s Note: The notion that each of us holds the Divine within us, that we have a spiritual nature along with our humanity, is not new. The term “God-ness" (from the Middle English) refers to, among other qualities, the impetus for actions borne of love, justice, and mercy... known by many as The Holy Spirit.

HOLY SPIRIT OF DIVINE ORDER: Bless us today with the faith that, in Divine Order, the universe is well, sound and whole. Let us be faithful to the beauty of life, even when we do not understand it fully. AMEN

Our word of certainty today is: FAITH. Our affirmation of confidence is: MY FAITH IN “GOD-NESS” HELPS ME BELIEVE IN MYSELF.

We experience the presence and power of “God-ness” as the goodness and grace that surrounds us and informs our lives. Our Faith in this has carried us far, helping us persevere through difficulties, and helping us live “lighter” during times of ease. As we have grown wiser spiritually, we have come to know and see God-ness as the power within us as well.

The faith we have in the Divine God-ness is also the faith we have in our own divine human beingness. This truth helps us dream big. It helps us trust that we have what we need to succeed. This same faith is our assurance, that in difficult times, we have the wherewithal to recover and thrive. We remind ourselves that no worldly circumstance is greater than the Divine. We place our faith in the Divine without and within and know that nothing is impossible in Spirit.

“Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith, let it be done to you.”—Matthew 9:29

Having faith in the yet unseen takes... well, an attitude of faith. We seek to understand all that we see and experience by the ideas of past experiences and best guesses about the way that the future will unfold. We do our best with our, lets face it, limited aspects of understanding. We do our best, and it may be even better, to surrender ourselves into the love, beauty, and grace, that are Divine Wisdom's gifts of knowing.

We are able then to have faith beyond our understanding. We can have faith in the beauty of a universe that functions by Divine Order all the time. This beauty of Divine Order is the final truth that is available for us to accept. The Divine operates for the greatest good of all, whether we understand how that is coming about or not.

We ask for certainty about things, and there is nothing that is certain except that Divinity, or the “God-ness” in life is beautiful, whole and wise... gracefully giving all the time. Not just some of the time, but truly all the time, regardless of the momentary appearances that seem otherwise.

To have ultimate faith in the constant love of the Divine Beauty of Divine Order as the cause of all life, and that every effect, is in reality a continuum of cause upon cause upon cause, is the greatest gift of peace and assurance that can be known.

We must let our free will be used for turning to the Divine as the source of our lives, thus releasing any over dependence on our smaller-self as the believed sole controller of our destiny. It is a grand and great leap of faith to do so, it can be done, and has wondrous rewards. AMEN

ALL OUR RELATIVES

GIFTS RECEIVED (V.2-i.285) The Unity Message
~ HOLY SPIRIT EVERYWHERE: Bless us, beloved Spirit, with all the gifts that fulfill our every need. Let the grace of our good be appreciated as that which fills us with joy. AMEN

Our word of wonder today is: GRACE. Our affirmation of appreciation is: GRACE REMINDS ME OF GOD’S GOODNESS.

Christian scriptures abound in instances of unexpected blessings; from Jesus’ birth to his healing ministries, to his loving eternal presence after his death. The story of the life of Jesus affirms that God is good at all times, regardless of how difficult circumstances appear. The word for this unexpected blessing of good in a difficult, often painful world is GRACE, which, like all forms of true love, is free and universally available, and does not require being earned. God is love, and grace enlivens this awareness, if we ever begin to forget it. If we get caught up in negative thinking, grace reminds us that we do not have to fix the world to live fully, here and now. We are surrounded by God’s Grace, and as we trust in Divine goodness, we walk our path with and in faith.

“Which of you by worrying can add a single hour to your span of life?” – Matthew 6:27

There is an absolute certainty that everyone and everything is resolutely “Seeking the good.” Every particle of life, from a grain of sand to the highest mountain, from the smallest of mites to the magnificent whale; is seeking its good. Everyone who has lived or will live is embodied by this truth. We can grumble about it is being strangely or wisely done, nevertheless that person is seeking something or other which they deem to be the good of their lives. When we honor that truth, we can ease up a bit about judging errors, and perhaps rather, wish that person a good journey as they evolve what their good might be or become.

There are vast numbers of images and names for God. It is a spiritual circus to behold how imaginative human beings are about giving a face or shape to that which they hold as the source of the good they are seeking.

Grace is a gift freely given, and we can freely gift compassionate love to everyone and everything, when we realize and potentially accept, that life is a process of seeking and finding the good that works in any given moment. We do well to see a moment as just that; a temporary snapshot in time, and not the total moving picture that is life; whether the life of a tornado, or our lives in motion and transformation.

We never step into the same stream twice, because the good we seek is, in grace, given new images and faces each moment, as the current of the river of life continuously flows. We are a vessel, and the river of life is the host that is good at flowing from streams to river to ocean. Our good is at the headwaters when we are there, and it is in the rapids and eddies, and at the place where the river of our life flows gracefully into the unbounded sea of life as the absolute unity of being. All is grace.

Live gracefully my beloveds. Flow with divine grace, and the good you seek will be yours. AMEN

A KEY TO FULFILLMENT (V.2-i.284) THE Unity Message
~ HOLY SPIRIT OF GRATITUDE: Bless us today with a heart of thanksgiving for all the gifts and blessings that flow freely from Spirit’s grace. Let us say thank you for all that which is the ground of our being. AMEN

Our word of appreciation is: GRATITUDE. Our words of affirmation are: GRATITUDE IS THE LIGHT THAT SHINES THROUGH DARKNESS.

A sunrise does not change the landscape, yet the world looks softer and more peaceful in the morning light. In the same way, practicing appreciation does not mean that we will never experience difficult moments in our lives. But in the radiance of gratitude, we trust that we will find unexpected blessings that will help us cope. We do not deny the clouds of life but use our faith in Divine goodness to shine our light through them. When periods of uncertainty or hardship feel dark, our gratitude reminds us that the light will return. In fact, the light never left, because it is the presence of the Divine within us, and all around us, always.

“Because of the tender mercy of the Creator, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness…to guide our feet into the ways of peace,” – Luke 1: 78-79

There are many rooms in the Divine Mansion, so says the Biblical Scripture. There are keys to opening the doors to the ways by which we live in the *kindom* of relationships; of Heaven’s Divine Holy Mind, and the images and forms of the Divine as earthly and cosmic manifestation. The term *kindom* rather than kingdom, comes from eco-activism that wishes to emphasize the relatedness and inter-dependency of all of life.

When we muse over the *kindom* point of view, that all are relatives, we come to two keys that are taught in most wisdom traditions. The first, is to be grateful for all of our experiences, all of our relationships ~ with nature, others, and ourselves. The second, is the willingness to see and know that we are in the care of the love, grace and abundance of the Holy... complete, sound, and whole. We are under the protection of the active Creative Source of all life, visible and invisible. The two keys mentioned, go hand in hand, heart in heart, to give a sense of belonging properly and gracefully to life’s totality of embrace.

In kinship with all, we are flowing in the river of life, always, and in all ways. This flow of life experience sometimes tumbles and cascades... at other times, it rests in pools and marshy wetlands. It is always present and dynamic, whether swift or slow. We can appreciate this river of life as the presence and power of the Divine, illuminating our consciousness, giving form and faculty to our lives.

There are stars in the heavens that are called meanders, who move in ways that mimic the way rivers flow on earth. Our consciousness ~ that which flows through us day and night ~ is like this as well... where the inner observer moves between thoughts, sense impressions, *aah*s, and imaginative inspiration, in a constant stream; at times, like waterfalls and rapids... quiet spans... even an occasional backwater of seeming non-movement.

Gratitude is a flowing river of appreciation for all our diversity of experiences. Let us say a grateful thank you for the abundance of opportunities that life gives us each day. AMEN

The Key to Flowing with Divine Light

TRUSTED LOVE OF WISDOM (V.2-I.282) The Unity Message
~ HOLY SPIRIT OF ASSURANCE: Bless us today with trust in Wisdom’s love and Love’s wisdom. Let us be assured that the Divine is in charge, and knows what we wisely need just as we need it. AMEN

Our word of assurance today is: TRUST. Our affirmation of confidence is: I PLACE MY TRUST IN GOD, AND LIVE SECURELY.

The things of the world will always come and go. Change is a constant. If we base our sense of security and trust around our material possessions, or worldly status, we may feel shaken if we lose them. But, when we place our trust in the Divine as the one Presence and Power in the universe, and as our divine center, we are putting our trust where it truly belongs. When we trust the Divine, we are also trusting the Divine within us. We are living our faith that we have everything we need, to triumph over adverse circumstances and overcome challenges. Spiritual living is our rock, our perpetual reminder of where to place our trust, and how to feel secure in an ever-changing world.

“O Most High, when I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I am not afraid, what can flesh do to me?” – Psalm 56:2-4

It was a clear and majestic moment in my life when I realized that I could have complete and total confidence in Divine Wisdom as the singular unerring trust of my existence. My life-long seeking to figure it all out was put to rest as an ‘anxiety,’ and pure peace of true assurance was born.

I have been seeking after wisdom ever since I understood at age seven that I was a thinking being. So began the search to know, from within myself, and from the world, ancient and yet also present. Seeking wisdom is a profound and ancient path for knowing the knowable. I do not regret any part of that path, for it has been a deep and abiding adventure that has included the search of many of the greatest thinkers throughout time. This is termed the Jnana Yogic path in Hinduism, and the Gnostic Hermetic path in our Western cultures. It is surely a way to keep asking questions of life and truly to not get bogged down in any particular answer of finality about what is true in the relative, changeable world.

Contrary to what I thought at first, It is not that there is no TRUTH, for there is. it is that none of us knows everything about anything. The truth is that, to not know is not unwise, but an invitation to continue to be inspired by the truth; that the Divine as Wisdom does have the ultimate knowing. Divine Wisdom is the doer of the infinite harmony of life, visible and invisible. I am a vessel for that wisdom to flow through, but I am not the source of the wisdom.

Thus, the moment of complete surrender, confidently trusting in ?Wisdom’s presence and power in all things, was when all my seeking came home to the Temple of Trusting Assurance. All my questions are asked of Wisdom, and are answered through Wisdom’s grace and generosity. AMEN
