Healthy habitat benefits all species.

The challenge isn't whether we care about the feral horses, it's whether we can manage populations in a way that supports healthy habitat for all wildlife species, including Pronghorn.

NAPF supports science-based wildlife management that protects pronghorn, sagebrush ecosystems, and the future of North America's public lands.

Conservation starts with habitat.

Pronghorn depend on healthy sagebrush ecosystems for food, cover, movement, and survival. Yet North America is currently losing more than 1 million acres of native sagebrush habitat every year.

Sagebrush communities are among the most imperiled ecosystems on the continent, becoming increasingly fragmented and less productive over time.

If pronghorn are going to remain on the North American landscape for future generations, protecting and restoring sagebrush habitat must be part of the solution.

That’s why NAPF supports projects focused on habitat improvement, stewardship, and long-term conservation.

Because healthy sagebrush means healthy pronghorn.

Thank you to every volunteer and partner who helped make the Box X Ranch Project possible this past weekend. Because of your help, we were able to tear down nearly 10 MILES of woven wire fence, assisting in Pronghorn habitat and accessibility.

Conservation happens because people show up!

The pronghorn's ancestors date back more than 25 million years.

While dozens of related species disappeared, one survived: the Pronghorn.

Today, conservation efforts continue to ensure this uniquely North American animal remains part of our landscape for generations to come.

Barriers such as fencing across the landscape can be one of the biggest threats to Pronghorn, limiting movement, access to water, and survival.

That’s why next weekend volunteers with North American Pronghorn Foundation will head to Montana for the Box X Ranch Fencing Project.

📍 Between Alzada and Broadus, MT

📅 Friday, June 12th - Sunday, June 14th

The goal is simple but critical: remove and modify fencing to improve pronghorn movement across working landscapes while maintaining ranch operations.

Volunteer support includes provided food and drinks, plus a pair of custom NAPF-branded Golden Stag leather gloves for every participant.

Sign up to volunteer here: pronghorns.org/events

*if you aren’t able to make it to the project but still want to show your support for pronghorn conservation, feel free to check out our online raffle live through July 1st at the link below.

All of the entry fees for the raffle will be directly translated into future projects and events to promote pronghorn habitat in North America.
