Since the devastating floods began, Tsering’s Fund has been closely monitoring the situation and staying in contact with our partners and families in Nepal.

We are deeply grateful that all of our currently sponsored students have been confirmed safe. But we know that many families have been profoundly affected, and the situation continues to evolve.

We have learned that students not in our program, but that attend our partner schools, have family members that are missing or have passed away, and we have learned that former students and members of the Tsering's Fund family have close friends and family members who have been directly affected.

Many people remain missing, and search efforts continue. We are still reaching out to families to understand the full impact of the disaster, and we will share verified updates and additional needs with our community as they become available.

Our hearts are with Nepal. 🇳🇵
We are deeply saddened by the devastating floods and landslides affecting communities across Nepal, particularly those in the northern Himalayan region.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and access to their communities during this incredibly difficult time.

At Tsering’s Fund, our first concern is for the safety and well-being of the students, families, teachers, and communities we serve in the Helambu and Sindhupalchok regions. We are reaching out to our local partners and school contacts to understand the situation and check on our students.

We know that many communities remain difficult to reach, and information is changing quickly. We will provide updates as we receive verified information from our partners on the ground.

For now, we are holding the people of Nepal in our hearts and hoping for the safety of our students, their families, and all those affected.

🏫 Partner School Spotlight: Jyugal Boarding High School

Located in the beautiful Helambu Region of Sindhupalchok District, Nepal, Jyugal Boarding High School is one of Tsering's Fund's valued partner schools and a place where opportunity begins.

Today, nearly 70 Tsering's Fund students attend Jyugal, and 95% of them are girls. By investing in girls' education, we're helping prevent child marriage and human trafficking while opening doors to brighter futures for entire families and communities.

Our partnership extends beyond the classroom. Together with the school's dedicated teachers and leadership, we provide educational support, leadership opportunities like Hero Camp, and the encouragement students need to reach their full potential.

Each year, our team visits Jyugal Boarding High School to meet with every student, strengthen our partnership, and see firsthand the incredible impact your support is making.

Hero Camp Memories

Last year, we watched something extraordinary happen.

Young women from some of Nepal's most remote communities stepped outside their comfort zones and discovered just how strong they truly are.

They climbed rock walls they never imagined they could conquer. They learned to swim. They created pottery, zipped across a lake, explored cultural sites, went boating, shared laughter with new friends, and participated in powerful girls' empowerment and health education sessions.

For many, these were once-in-a-lifetime experiences. But Hero Camp is about so much more than adventure. It's about helping young women discover confidence, courage, and the belief that they can shape their own futures.

Soon, we'll welcome a brand-new group of students to Hero Camp, and we can't wait to see their smiling faces, hear their laughter, and watch them discover what's possible.

Meet Tirtha, an 8-year-old student at one of our partner schools in Nepal.

When Tirtha was just one year old, she lost her mother. More recently, she lost her father as well, leaving her and her siblings without the care of either parent.

Today, she is living safely in her school's hostel where she has nutritious meals, a secure place to sleep, and the opportunity to receive an education.
But she still needs someone to believe in her.

Despite everything she has experienced, Tirtha loves learning and dreams of one day becoming a doctor so she can help others.

We were honored to be invited to the farewell ceremony for the 2082 SEE graduates at our partner school, Dikshalaya. The celebration was filled with beautiful traditional dances, heartfelt songs, and joyful moments as students, teachers, and families came together to recognize the graduates' hard work and achievements.

These students have dedicated years of effort, perseverance, and determination to reach this milestone. It was a privilege for Tsering's Fund to celebrate alongside them as they prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey.

Congratulations to all of the 2082 SEE graduates! We are incredibly proud of you and can't wait to see where your dreams take you.
