Thank you everyone who came out to our Drive Electric Montana EV showcases as part of Drive Electric Earth Month! We had an amazing time at the MSU EV showcase and the Gallatin Valley Earth Day EV showcase.

Huge thank you to our Drive Electric community for volunteering your time to help make these events possible. And, thank you to our Bozeman community for showing up to learn more about electric vehicles!

We can’t wait for our next great event. In the meantime, stay tuned for our upcoming May chapter meeting!

We love to see the City of Bozeman working towards an EV friendly future! ⚡️

Go, greased Lightnin’!

This Ford F-150 Lightning is the newest electric vehicle (EV) to join the City of Bozeman fleet. Code Compliance will use the truck to keep our community healthy and safe through maintaining our City of Bozeman ordinances and codes. The vehicle is part of a major City Commission effort to replace some of our aging vehicle assets with new, more eco-friendly ones that can accomplish the same tasks. EVs also save taxpayers money by reducing fuel and maintenance costs. Say hi to our Code Compliance officers if you see them out and about!

In case you missed it, we were recently featured in Ennis’s local paper, The Madisonian!

This feature from November 2025 highlights some of the work we have done to expand EV charging access and increasing awareness about EVs in the state. With the help of our wonderful chapter members and our impressive Montana network of clean-energy supporters, we’re moving Montana further towards an EV-friendly future.

Our April chapter meeting is coming up this week! Join our informal meeting at Shine Beer Sanctuary this Thursday, April 2nd from 5 to 6pm. We’ll be discussing our upcoming EV Showcases next month, as well as the expansion of EVs and EV infrastructure in Montana.

As you may have heard, by now, Bridger Bowl had an early close to their ski season this year. Due to this, we will have to cancel our upcoming EV showcase on April 29th.

We see the irony in canceling a clean energy-focused event due to a historically warm winter, and Bridger Bowl’s sustainability team, whom we have partially worked on this event with, does too.

Despite the bad news, we still have 2 more exciting EV events coming up this season!
- April 22nd: MSU EV Showcase
- April 25th: Gallatin Valley Earth Day EV Showcase/Ride & Drive
