Jeanne Rankin, DVM, is a 3rd-generation Montanan, a graduate of both Montana State University and Colorado State University. She practiced predominantly equine, small ruminant, camelid, and pet veterinary care for 17 years before joining the MT Department of Livestock for 6.5 years as the Assistant State Veterinarian and later as the Acting State Veterinarian.

She will be joining us at Summer Conference to share a report from the recent Technical Large Animal Emergency Response training she attended and to share insights on Equine Evacuation and disaster planning. Don’t forget to register at mfbf.org as early registration closes Monday!

Montana Farm Bureau volunteers have been teaching kiddos all across the state about where their food, fiber, and fuel comes from! Ag Days have taken place in every corner of Montana where students learn about agricultural necessity, practices, and safety.

Thank you to all of our wonderful members for dedicating their time to fostering the future of agriculture. We couldn’t do it without you!

Northwest Counties Farm Bureau recently hosted their 2nd Annual Ranch Olympics and barbecue! The event featured fun, competitive games testing the ranch skills of participants. They served lunch, gave away prizes, and followed it all with dancing and live music by Saint of Soldiers.

Dustin Martens is a rancher from Forsyth who is actively involved in Montana agriculture and producer advocacy. He serves on the Resource Management, Environment and Technology Committee for the Montana Farm Bureau Federation, representing District 5 and helping shape policy discussions impacting Montana farmers and ranchers. Based in eastern Montana, Dustin is part of a multigenerational ranching community committed to protecting agricultural resources and the rural way of life.

Recently, five of our members graduated from the REAL Montana program. We are proud of all their hard work over the past two years, refining their leadership skills and expanding their knowledge base in the agriculture and natural resource industries.
