Share of Gallatin Valley

Share of Gallatin Valley Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Grieving is painful for everyone, but the death of a baby presents a very special grief.

Often family and friends are unable to give parents the support they need. If your baby has died, there are people who understand your intense feelings of loss and emptiness: other parents who have lost a baby. The natural bond between bereaved parents enables them to support and encourage each other in a very unique way.

General information

Serving the Gallatin Valley and beyond, the SHARE support group helps parents whose baby has died through ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. The SHARE Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 7-9 pm, unless it falls on a holiday, then it will be the following week. The group is not therapy but rather a group of parents who find comfort and courage in walking this difficult path. Every group is a safe and confidential place to share feelings and coping strategies. There is no fee to attend, and the group is open to the community. Meetings are held in the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital Chapel. Bereaved parents are encouraged to attend the support group when they feel ready. Parents may come together or alone. Parents without partners may find it especially helpful to be with others who understand their pain. Once parents are able to share their grief, they often are able to rediscover hope and meaning in life. The SHARE Resource Library, also located in the Chapel, is available 24 hours a day.
