Bozeman Wrestling Club

Bozeman Wrestling Club Our mission is to promote youth wrestling and provide quality opportunities for our athletes to achie BWC does the same.

Big or small, fast or slow, boy or girl, wrestling is for everyone. Join Bozeman Wrestling Club today to see how this physically and mentally demanding sport prepares you for life through character development, confidence building and improved self-esteem. The Bozeman Wrestling Club is a USAW Chartered Club and is open to all athletes age 4 and up. We are a dynamic, growing club dedicated to the a

dvancement of amateur wrestling. Achieving this goal depends on the commitment from coaches, parents, athletes, officials, and volunteers. Our practices are taught in a safe, structured environment by screened USAW certified coaches. Bozeman Wrestling Club promotes all styles of wrestling to ensure that competitors develop into complete wrestlers who can bridge a variety of techniques for maximum success. When you join BWC, you become part of the most complete wrestling organization in the United States, USA Wrestling. As a parent, you place your child’s development ahead of everything. Under the guidance of our certified coaches, your child will learn to handle challenges—both on and off the mat—leaving you amazed at their transformation during the course of a single season. Wrestling is a sport that educates and promotes kids and families to live a healthy and fit lifestyle. The basic athletic development you go through as a wrestler i.e., strength building, balance, flexibility, agility, and speed translate across the board to increased athleticism in all sports. Wrestling
• Improves self confidence and the belief that anything is possible
• Teaches young people to respect themselves and others
• Promotes excellence and encourages athletes to set goals
• Builds personal accountability because the athlete alone is responsible for the outcome
• Develops integrity, discipline, and a strong work ethic—traits that will last a lifetime
• Exposes athletes to positive role models

Wrestling’s alumni have gone on to achieve great success in every field. Presidents, astronauts, authors, and respected business executives credit wrestling, and the life lessons learned on the mat, for their success. At Bozeman Wrestling Club, we believe our wrestlers can become elite at whatever they choose to do in life.

We want to extend congratulations to KyLee Lindsley!

Not only did she All American at Nationals, placing 7th, becoming the first woman to All-American as a Freshman for Ottawa, but she set a SCHOOL RECORD for the most falls in a season! Ottawa sanctioned Womens Wrestling in 2014, one of the first NAIA schools to do so.

She was amongst 5 athletes nominated for the Freshman Phenom Award. She won this award, in which the university recognizes a first year athlete who "...made an immediate and undeniable impact. Stepping into collegiate competition can be overwhelming, but this athlete rose to the moment and exceeded expectations, proving that their future is very bright."

Congratulations KyLee! We are all so proud of you! (We can't WAIT to check out that belt next week! ) ;)
