Our Story
ROC (Reach Out and Care) Warriors is a new innovative program that Wayne Hanson, of ROC Wheels, and Eric Donoho have designed to pull disabled Veterans out of their comfort zones to face their fears, while highlighting the strengths they have inside. It is a six month curriculum based program that involves building and delivering wheelchairs to disabled children in developing countries. As a part of the project and a way to highlight strengths, the Veterans will identify other areas where they can help the community they are serving to improve quality of life. Most Veterans first experience overseas is war, which can negatively shape their view of the world. By taking them overseas again we are asking them to overcome fears, be open to new cultures, and hopefully find faith, hope, joy, and love. Our first trip is scheduled tentatively for Fall of 2019.
