Nepal has been a focus of our club’s international service for years, and many of you have asked how to help after the recent devastating flood along the Trishuli River.

The schools from our completed project and our current project were not in the flood's path. We are still waiting on word about families near the Trisuli River school that club members visited in 2019.

Here's how to support Nepal through trusted organizations:

» Building Bureau, a Bozeman nonprofit, is routing donations to its trusted on-the-ground partner, Sower's Action Nepal. Contributions are tax deductible (select Sower's Action Nepal in the PayPal dropdown): https://buildingbureau.org/donate

» ShelterBox, Rotary International's official disaster relief partner, is providing emergency shelter in Nepal right now. Donations made through their Nepal page are restricted to the Nepal response: https://donate.shelterboxusa.org/nepal-flooding/

» Dawa Wangmo Tamang, a Nepali nursing student at MSU, lost her uncle and cousins in the floods. To support her family directly, send an email to [email protected] for Dawa's Venmo link.

» Our partner club, the Club of Tripureswor, is developing a relief plan. Their Rotaractors are already collecting clothing for distribution through the Nepal Army. We will share Tripureswor's formal plan as soon as it is released.

Thank you to everyone able to contribute.
