Summer may be over for most families, but the fun, friendships, and memories made at kidsLINK Summer Camps are worth one more look. ☀️

From adventures and field trips to creative projects, new friendships, and plenty of laughter, our campers packed a lot into their summer, and now we are cheering them on as they head back to the classroom!

And while summer camp is wrapping up, kidsLINK doesn’t stop when school starts. Our teams are ready to welcome kids back for another year of kidsLINK out-of-school programs, giving children a safe place to learn, play, connect, and just be kids, while helping working families keep working.

Here’s to a great school year for all of our kidsLINK kids, families, staff, teachers, and school partners! 🎒✏️

A legacy that will keep turning pages for generations. 💙📚

As the world remembers Dolly Parton, we are especially grateful for one of the many gifts she leaves behind: her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and grow through books.

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children from birth to age 5 receive a free, age-appropriate book in the mail every month, building home libraries and a love of reading from the very beginning.

Here in our community, every child ages 0–5 in Gallatin and Park counties is eligible to participate at no cost to their family.

📚 Have a child under 5? Sign them up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
❤️ Looking for a way to honor Dolly’s legacy? Consider making a gift to help keep books arriving in the mailboxes of local children for years to come.

Her vision was simple and powerful: inspire children to dream more, learn more, care more, and be more. We are honored to help carry that vision forward in Gallatin and Park counties.

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Every month, more than 3,000 children in Gallatin and Park counties find a book in the mailbox — because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.

While our hearts are incredibly sad today, we’re more inspired than ever to continue this important mission. Together, we are building a brighter future for our children.

Thank you for supporting our work and Dolly’s legacy.

Did you see the Bozeman Daily Chronicle today?

30 years of kidsLINK, and 30 years of helping local families make life work.

We are grateful to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle for sharing the story of kidsLINK and the families who have made this program part of their lives.

For Casey and Rachel Dudley, kidsLINK started as a solution they needed so they could both continue working. But it became much more for their son, a place to build friendships, develop social skills, try new things and connect with caring staff.

As Casey shared, “I think it’s more than we could have imagined we were signing up for. The staff and the programming — it’s not just keeping your kids safe.”

Today, kidsLINK serves more than 1,200 children across Gallatin County, helping bridge the hours between the school day and the workday while giving kids opportunities to learn, explore and belong.

Thank you to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, and to every family, staff member, school and community partner who has been part of kidsLINK over the past three decades.

For 30 years, KidsLINK has helped families bridge the gap between the school day and the work week, providing before and after school care, summer camps and programs during school closures. Backpacks are packed. Pencils are sharpened. Now it’s time to make a plan for everything before, after and in between the school day.

Registration is open for the 2026–27 kidsLINK school year, with flexible care designed to make life a little easier for families, and afternoons a lot more fun for kids.

At kidsLINK, children have a safe, welcoming place to play, create, build friendships and try something new. Through partnerships with local organizations and community members, kids get opportunities to explore everything from science and sports to art, cooking and more.

Families can choose from:
- Weekly Afterschool care
- Drop-in care at all locations
- Morning care at select sites
- Fifth-day Pre-K care in Bozeman and Belgrade
- PIR Day Camps and school break camps

Tuition assistance is also available because we want kidsLINK to be accessible to families who need it.

Start the school year with a plan you can count on, and a place your kids can look forward to.

For many local families, afterschool care isn’t simply a convenience, it is what makes it possible for parents to keep working.

As one kidsLINK parent shared with the Bozeman Daily Chronicle: “That means to stay afloat, we’ve both got to work. We had to have a solution.”

For his family, that solution was kidsLINK. And what they found went far beyond a safe place for their son to spend the hours after school.

“I think it’s more than we could have imagined we were signing up for. The staff and the programming — it’s not just keeping your kids safe.”

For 30 years, kidsLINK has helped meet working families where they are while giving kids opportunities to build social skills, connect with caring staff, explore new interests and experience everything from cooking and crafting to learning from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and MSU student-athletes.

Thank you to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle for sharing this story and helping us celebrate 30 years of kidsLINK.
