Sage Gardeners Our mission is to improve quality of life for aging seniors through accessible gardening. Many studies have been done on healing environments and elderly.

Sage Gardeners, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is dedicated to improving the quality life for our aging ranchers, farmers and gardeners in Montana. We realize that many older adults are no longer feeling the dirt in their hands and have reluctantly given up on a favorite pastime because they have had to relocate to smaller/more easily manageable living spaces. Older adults, who live in their o

wn homes, find it very difficult to garden in-ground, therefore discontinuing their gardening. Our mission is to reconnect these aging seniors to their gardening roots through accessible gardens and garden therapy-based services. Through these studies, they have found both psychological and physical benefits from incorporating natural environs, ie gardens, into people’s lives. Sage Gardeners works hard to bring these beneficial activities into their lives to help improve their quality of life.

Sage Gardeners has been in full force cleaning up gardens the last couple of weeks in Churchill, Manhattan, and Bozeman. The transformations from the quiet, packed down, and leafy beds to the green, lively, and wormy soil have been inspiring. See the before and afters. Amazing what a little time and effort and volunteers can do- you are the best- thank you!

Sage Gardeners has had a really big last couple of weeks in the Gallatin Valley! We cleaned up and planted many gardens at private residences, public spaces, Churchill Retirement Home, and . The weather has been gorgeous and the energy with volunteers has been incredibly inspiring. ☀️ Many more upcoming events… stay tuned!

Showcasing an amazing project in the Gallatin Valley that will benefit a diverse group of friends in a small community. Thank you to an amazing group of volunteers today that helped in so many different ways. We appreciate all of you! We cleaned up a horseshoe pit, put in new raised beds, repurposed pallets into garden beds, planted fruit trees, created a pretty sitting space and enjoyed a lovely lunch afterwards- thanks to our volunteers!
