YTI's Wilderness First Aid course is happening this week at the Yellowstone Center under blue Montana skies. During the course, students learn patient assessment, basic life support, treatment of injuries and illnesses in remote settings, and evacuation decision-making, culminating in First Aid/CPR and Wilderness & Remote First Aid certification.

With this course, the 2026–2027 academic year is underway, and we're looking forward to orientation and a busy week on campus starting Monday!

August 20-22 in Bozeman—earn your Wilderness First Aid certification!

In this course, you will learn essential training in wilderness emergency response and first aid for outdoor leaders and ministry professionals. The course follows American Red Cross guidelines and concludes with First Aid/CPR and Wilderness & Remote First Aid certification.

Leading the practicum will be Lauri Hawley, a Wilderness and Remote First Aid instructor certified by the American Red Cross.
