AIAS at MSU:

Community Involvement:
Goal: Expand our name and cause into the community while initiating compassion for human being and the built environment; utilize our creativity as students to serve those within our immediate region. Create personal networks and lasting relationships with individuals whom will be potential clients.

-Freedom By Design: community service program of AIAS whic

h utilizes the talents of architecture students to serve the needs of people within the community.
-Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with qualified families to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to the families at no profit and with no interest charged.
-Supporting campus-wide and local charity events; Ex: Relay for Life Charity Walk Event
-Museum of the Rockies
-Bozeman Green Bus initiative


Learning Culture/Mentorship
Goal: Train leaders within the School of Architecture to be the future of the profession. Build relationships within the school that foster a sense of purpose and community.
-Scholarships
-Year to year critiques: Faculty invites students to help give critique during a studio class or otherwise scheduled event.
-Social Event with a Purpose: non-traditional mentoring, meeting students across all years of education and fostering relationships that have the potential for future “mentorship”.
-Design Competitions
-AIAS retreats
-Host a faculty “interest” party: causal event highlighting faculty interest not directly related to or outside of architecture.

Hello Cheever folk. Some of you may know this, some of you may not. But the annual AIAS West Quad Conference will be hosted this spring in Bozeman, which is pretty amazing. If you would like to attend the conference or even a day of it, we'd love to have our entire community be able to access this event. The dates are from April 4-7th.

The discount code for all MSU students is WQMSU!19. This means that as an AIAS Member, your registration would be $25. As a non-member, it will be $72. In case you're not aware, membership sign up is only $32 right now. You do the math.
