We're the SWMMBA Bozeman Chapter. Our mission is to actively build, improve, and maintain trails.

Shire Built is constructing the new downhill green-rated flow trail.

Shire Built started the same way most of us did, building the trails they wanted to ride. Since 2019 they've been designing and constructing bike parks, flow trails, and jump lines for communities across the Pacific Northwest. You might know their work from Semenuk video parts or the Red Bull Rampage line they built for Storch last year. These guys know what makes a trail fun, and they build accordingly.

We are so stoked and can't wait to see what they put down.

A lot of trails are riding well right now, especially in town and the West Bridgers. Some areas are still limited, and conditions are always shifting.

DeWolf Trail Excavation is building the What Goes Up Reroute.

If you've ridden Big Thigh Country, you already know their work. DTE has been building progressive flow trails across Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming since 2020 and they bring the same care and craft to every project. Good trails in wild places, built right. We're pumped to have them back.

June is packed.

Clinics, group rides, trail work, etc. There's something for everyone whether you're just getting into riding or you're ready to put in some hours on the trails. Check the graphics for dates and details, and sign up at the 🔗 in bio.

Last season this community funded, built, and opened three brand new trails. Now we're building on that. A green flow trail, a rerouted climb, and improved access are all coming this summer. Construction starts in June and we're planning an opening party in late August.

Big Thigh Country and Gnomadic are open tomorrow, Friday, for one day only. Rain moves in Saturday and Sunday, so we're closing the trails for the weekend, but we weren't going to let a window like this go to waste. Trails will reopen next week as conditions allow.

This opening only happened because of a crew of volunteers who have been out clearing, raking, and shoveling to get these trails ride-ready. Go enjoy the fruits of their work.

A few notes: Golden Rule remains closed until further notice. Access the kiosk via the gravel road.

Pints with Purpose is back, this time at . Come out this Thursday May 28, from 4-8pm and a portion of every beer goes straight to TDC. This is a very easy (and very fun) way to support the trails. Drink beer, support trails. 🍻⚒

Sunday mornings at the Westlake Dirt Jumps. 9-10am every week. Come hang and help keep the jumps in shape.

As always, water before you ride. There's a plastic water tank on site, and watering cans coming soon. 🪏💦

This Saturday is officially open for the riding season! Although our favorite trail gnomes made it through the winter unscathed, there are several trail closures and new changes to be aware of before you leave the parking lot. Gnomadic, Big Thigh Country, and Golden Rule are still too wet and have multiple down trees we're working on clearing.

All three new trails should be open for traffic around May 29th, but until then please respect the integrity of the dirt and stay off! Also due to a few close calls last year, no dogs are allowed on Gnomadic moving forward. Keep your best buddy safely away from the Free Ride wave train of joy. 🐕

Huge shout-out to all of our amazing partners, sponsors, members, and dedicated volunteers that are making Bozeman a great place to ride. Group ride, trail work, and fundraising calendars are in route!

Trail report time! We got hit with snow last weekend and the trails are still recovering. More rain today and tomorrow means conditions will be limited across the board going into the weekend. Ride cautiously, stay off wet trails, and protect our access.
