We had a blast at this year’s Women of Industry Field to Fork Course at ranch.

Working in the outdoor, hunting, and conservation industries, it can be difficult to find time to get out for your own hunts or outdoor adventures.

Happy to say this week provided some much needed rest, camaraderie, and hunting action for this fine group of outdoor industry pros.

Cole is a soft spoken southern gentleman with a big heart for the outdoors, for children and for making opportunities for them to come together. As a youngster himself he went to a Texas Brigades summer camp little knowing that week would change the course of his whole life’s trajectory.

The Texas Brigades is a not for profit organization with a mission to educate and empower youth with leadership skills and knowledge in wildlife, fisheries and land stewardship. The hope is they will become conservation ambassadors for a sustained natural resource legacy, carrying on the mission for future generations.

That goal hit the bullseye with Cole as he went from a participant to a youth leader and today is the sitting president on the board of directors.

At Women Hunt’s Field to Fork Course, you’ll learn how to clean and care for your firearm, shoot proficiently at distances you couldn’t imagine previously, stalk big game animals, hunt ethically, butcher, process, and cook wild game, and SOOO much more.

But for us, the best part of the course, easily, is watching the relationships that form and build during the week. You may show up to Ranch as a friend, but you’ll leave as a family member. A member of the Wild Sheep family, the Women Hunt family, and the FTW Ranch family.

We love our Field to Fork alumni, and can’t wait to welcome a new group of ladies into the family this fall!

The memories from our 2025 Field to Fork Course are still fresh in our minds, and it’s hard to believe we’ll soon be welcoming a group of 12 new ladies to join us for the ultimate hunting, firearm safety, shooting, and camaraderie getaway at Ranch.

Join Dana as she sits down with a very special guest this week, Gina Reynolds.

Gina came into our world through tragic circumstances with the untimely passing of her beloved husband, Shane in 2023. Shane was a veteran Alaskan hunting a fishing guide and devoted husband and father.

In 2024 Gina became the first recipient of the Rubye Mayflower Blake Legacy Fund. She went to and was able to achieve a hunt that she and Shane had hoped to accomplish together. It was a profound experience to share with her daughter, Juliette, who also had the opportunity to harvest a whitetail buck.

Dana and Gina talk about how Shane sowed the seeds of the love of the outdoors and hunting which she intends to continue nurture with Juliette. Gina describes what special man Shane was and how his life made such an impact on so many people. She also expands on her other interests such as ultra running and shares about a 50 miler she’s currently training for.

Join Dana for this weeks episode of the Ignite Podcast as she sits down with Camille Null, Volunteer Program Director, for Heroes on the Water. This is a very special organization that exists to serve those who have served us through the healing power of the outdoors.

Our veterans and first responders give their all for us but that kind of sacrifice comes at a cost. Heroes on the Water invites these servicemen and women onto the water to reconnect with nature. Kayaking and fishing have been restorative activities for folks struggling with unseen battle wounds.

Camille shares about she got involved in the organization and what it’s meant to her to watch people go through the program, sharing stories of individuals and the changes she’s seen. Heroes on the Water is making a big splash across America with 55 chapters in 27 states.

This episode will not only inform you it just might inspire you to get involved or to even consider opening a chapter in your state. We hope you enjoy this week’s conversation with Camille!

Did you know that only about 2% of podcasts make it to their 20th episode?

We’re about to drop #20 tomorrow so this feels like a huge accomplishment! When I got asked to take on this role as podcast host and learned that most podcasters wave the white flag even before 10 episodes are released, I was determined not to be in that camp.

Thank you to everyone who has listened to the show, shared posts in your stories, sent encouragement, helped with logistics and been a guest! This show would not have gotten off the ground without you!

I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to launch this new branch of Women Hunt and to share the stories of all the incredible people I’ve had the pleasure of sitting down with.
