We invite you to come and join us this THURSDAY - 2/27/2025 in the American Indian Hall Grand Hall for our seed and feed in preparation for families and communities looking to start their own gardens! We can’t wait to see you there! Come eat a yummy meal prepared by student chef Seth!

Seed bundles are currently being compiled by our team of MSU Buffalo Nations' students and MIFSI volunteers. We are grateful to have the opportunity to do this work in support of Indigenous food production throughout our region. Your support is welcome and helps keep the work flowing to our communities. A $50 donation supports materials and shipping for a single seed bundle. Every amount helps multiply the work. G'Chi Miigwech (big thanks)!

Greetings Relatives!

Wow! In one week we have reached the max number of participants for our seed distribution so our 2025 registration is closed. Thank you for your continued support of our collective work as we all strive to build the health of our communities! For those who were unable to register please follow us on Facebook or Instagram as we provide garden resources and support throughout the season. MIFSI's 2025 seed bundle program is underway! We are excited to be finishing our preparations for the 2025 seed bundles. We have some changes in 2025 that we hope will better serve the diverse needs of our communities, so be sure to carefully read the registration form. The 2025 deadline is March 15th.

As always MIFSI is so grateful to continue to be a part of this act of healing for all relatives. Thank you for all you do, and we look forward to our growth together.

Please join us tomorrow for our last seed packing event of 2024! Lend a hand getting these seeds ready for their journey to natives around the region for another season of healing and growth. We will be in the Great Hall of the American Indian Hall tomorrow from 1pm-3pm.

Please join us for this seasons first seed bundle packing event. Volunteers are much needed and appreciated this Friday. Drop in for any amount of time you are available. We will be in the basement of the American Indian Hall. Snacks and drinks will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Hi all,

We will be hosting our end of the season garden harvest and potluck event at the Story Mill Learning Garden on Sept. 28th at 5:30PM. We're really looking forward to coming together as a community to reflect on another abundant season, and we hope that many of you will be able to make it! Got some rubarb donated yesterday so the Buffalo Nation Fellows decided to process it down and make some desserts. Rubarb/Strawberry crisp and pie.
