On June 4, 1951, 39 Boys Town Citizens together with 67 high school seniors who a week hence would be alumni, gathered in the Boys Town high school library at the invitation of Msgr. Father Flanagan's idea and desire of forming a Boys Town alumni assocation became a happy realization.

SENIOR WELCOME LUNCH DATE CHANGE FROM SUNDAY, MAY 3RD TO SATURDAY, MAY 2ND

Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict with a previously scheduled campus wide event, we are moving the Senior Welcome Lunch to Saturday, May 2nd. The times, menu and location will remain the same. If you plan to attend, please register online by clicking the link below.

The Boys Town National Alumni Association is proud to host Boys Town's Class of 2026, all 60 of them, with a welcome luncheon on May 2, 2026. The event, which was a yearly event prior to COVID causing a pause, will give us the opportunity to welcome our brand-new alumni to our Association.

The delicious grilled steak luncheon will be held at the Great Hall at Boys Town beginning at 12:30 pm on the 3rd of May. Alumni board members, Matt Valenzuela, '85, John Soby-Cooke, '95, April Ascheman, '93, and Tony Jones, '88 will be the hosts for this special occasion.

If you are in the Boys Town commuting area and would like to attend, simply click on the Link below and register online safely and securely. The cost per person is $20. Deadline for registration is April 24th. This has always been an outstanding event and the opportunity to spend some time with new alumni sharing generational Boys Town experiences is very rewarding.

For those who can attend, you are encouraged to make your registration as soon as possible so that we can ensure the staff at the Great Hall has a good head count to order the food.

On Veteran's Day 2025, we pause to honor those Boys Town alumni who have served and continue to serve in our nations defense. The storied history of Boys Town alumni in the service of our nation is replete with heroism and quiet service fulfilling their oath to defend the Constitution and our country against all enemies foreign and domestic. The legacy reaches all the way back to the first few boys Father Flanagan gave a home to through several wars and peacetime service. Boys Town alumni can be counted on to step forward to do their duty to keep our country free. In this regard we honor our brother and sister alumni for their service on this Veteran's Day, 2025.

Your Boys Town National Alumni Association Board of Directors met on October 12th in their first meeting after the General Assembly in July. The board meets quarterly to address the future projects, efforts and goals of the Association. The President, Jeff James, D'83, will be providing a report to the general membership after each meeting in the form of a letter to the membership. The link below is the first of these letters. It is the commitment of the board to become more energized in supporting our alumni brothers and sister and in establishing a strong partnership with the Home. If you have ideas, recommendations or suggestions for the board please don't hesitate to forward them through your year group representative or directly to the president or any of the officers. The board looks forward growing our Association over the next to years as we look to the future.

Periodically, the President of the BTNAA will be updating membership with the progress on projects and other efforts of the board of directors to keep everyone informed on happenings with your board. This is the first in those communications.

Many "alumni" leave Boys Town having completed their program of care not realizing that they are indeed alumni of the most famous Village in America, simply because they left before graduation. The following article on our website should dispel that notion and welcome all who have been in residential care at Boys Town.

Membership in the Boys Town National Alumni Association is a benefit and privilege extended to all who attended Boys Town in their residential care program. It is not exclusive to only those who have graduated.
