Fatherhood is one of life’s greatest blessings but that doesn’t mean it comes without challenges.

Too often, fathers carry the weight of providing, protecting, leading, and supporting everyone around them while quietly neglecting themselves.

After honoring the soldiers we’ve lost and spending time with loved ones this Memorial Day weekend, we’ve found ourselves reflecting on The Cookout and the reminder of what true community looks like.

A special thank you to mitchemservices, Tamika Mitchem, Demetrius Miller, Ed Mitchem, and Jenelle for continuously showing up, supporting the vision, and helping us push through every challenge the day brought. Thank you as well to every volunteer who helped carry the vision and made sure The Cookout remained a success through every shift the day brought.

Tired of carrying everything. Tired of being the strong friend, the provider, the protector, while quietly trying to hold themselves together too.

That’s why spaces where men can be honest, supported, and poured back into matter.

The Joy of Fatherhood Conference 2026 is more than an event. It’s a reminder that no man is meant to stand alone.

Coming off the energy, conversations, and brotherhood from The Cookout, we’re taking it to Boynton Beach for our next brotherhood meet up.

The Joy of Fatherhood Conference 2026

A space created to empower, uplift, and pour back into men, fathers, sons, and families through real conversation, community, and growth.

A panel discussion focused on “Strength Through Vulnerability: Redefining What It Means to Be a Man,” a powerful and honest space created for men to speak their truth without apology and without losing their identity as men. This discussion challenges the long standing myth that strength requires silence, emotional suppression, or isolation. Instead, it reframes vulnerability as a form of courage, discipline, and leadership.

Panelists will discuss how they found strength while dealing with life’s challenges: showing up for their families while hurting, leading while uncertain, and standing firm while carrying unseen burdens. They will speak openly about moments when they felt vulnerable, overwhelmed, or unsure, and how embracing those moments became a turning point in their growth as men.

This conversation makes it clear: vulnerability does not strip a man of his masculinity. It deepens it. Being a man is not about pretending everything is fine; it is about facing life head on, taking responsibility, and choosing growth over avoidance. True strength is the ability to be honest, ask for help when necessary, and continue moving forward with purpose and integrity.
