Challenge Mountain Enrich lives and empower people living with disabilities through adaptive recreation.

Established in 1984 as a non-profit organization, Challenge Mountain was the first independent adaptive skiing program in northern Michigan. Today, Challenge Mountain offers adaptive recreational and social opportunities that continue to enrich lives and empower individuals living with disabilities. Each year, Challenge Mountain connects children, youth and adults living with disabilities through

adaptive skiing, equine therapy, ropes challenge course, adaptive biking, sailing and SPIRIT Day Camp. Individuals of all ages and abilities can take part in Challenge Mountain’s programs at no cost, including those living with physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities.

This is a party you won't want to miss!

💫 Meet new friends, say hello to old ones, all while enjoying cold, delicious ice cream. We will be taking a trip back to the Victorian era, playing parlor games, enjoying tea time sandwiches and partaking in the finer elements of life.

That was our slogan yesterday, as we began the long process of moving out of the old Challenge Mountain Lodge. We couldn't have done it without all the wonderful volunteers who came out and helped. THANK YOU!

Everyone deserves the ability to enjoy summer in northern Michigan.

At Challenge Mountain, weekly adventures started last week with our Kickoff Dance and Mini Golf League, and continue THROUGH SEPTEMBER! 🌞🚴🎣♿

Programs include: adaptive biking, fishing, kayacking, social activities like bowling and movie nights, and so much more. And all these events are FREE.

Our annual kickoff to the season was filled with music, smiles and plenty of laughter. We had a blast, and we can't wait for all the exciting adaptive programs coming up in the next few months.

Tomorrow, join us at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts for the fourth annual "The Arts are for Everyone", featuring students from the Special Needs Artistic Movement (SNAM) class at Crooked Tree Arts Center - Petoskey.
