We are hosting a fun virtual fundraiser over June and July called JUST MOVE 🙂 . It’s an easy way for people to get involved who want to do something but don’t know what / how they can contribute. The idea is that if we all do our part (even if it feels small), we can make a big impact and “move” forward together to help end human trafficking.

There’s 3 ways people can be a part:
1) Donate $25 and commit to “moving” in some way (walk, bike, dance, read a book, dance, etc … just moving in some way as a prophetic act of commitment)
2) Getting friends / family involved by raising pledges and donations for your “movement commitment” (we’ll make you a private QR fundraising page for sharing)
3) Donate any amount

We are believing to raise $500,000 for our annual needs in prevention, rescue, aftercare.

Just received this from Nicole in Mexico:

“A few hours ago, this precious little girl was rescued and is now on her way to our Chiapas Children’s Home.

Her story is heartbreaking, but tonight she is safe.

By modern definition, the word meek is an adjective that describes a quiet, gentle, and submissive nature. However, that’s not what the Greek text means.

πραΰ́ς (prah-ooce') is the word used in Matthew 5:5 for “meek.” It means “mild, (by implication) humble.”

What Christ was saying is the humble or mild people will inherit the earth, not those that are submissive in nature.

While we are to submit to Christ, we are also called to be warriors in the faith. Ephesians 6:12 says,

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

That takes boldness in our faith. Go be bold in your faith.

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We all need to be reminded of this now and then. Forgiveness is something we can have, should offer to those that have sinned against us and should grant to ourselves too.

Another example of how child exploitation is in our communities.

Exploitation of children isn’t something that just happens in far away, foreign countries. It’s happening in our own backyards and in our vacation spots.

Disney cruise ship employees were among the more than two dozen workers detained at a San Diego port in a child s*xual exploitation material bust by federal agents.

We had the opportunity to spend time with Jason and Nicole Fitzpatrick from Village Global. Village Global is one of the anti-trafficking missions we support. They have rescued, housed, rehabbed and/or adopted out thousands of children over the past 30+ years.

They currently operate two homes, rehab centers and schools in Mexico.
