2nd-6th grade—It was a bitter sweet week as Miss Tina, Miss Joyce and the LW volunteers said goodbye to their elementary students. Each student received a bag along home containing several different local VBS programs information, a Bible bookmark, an informative note from Miss Tina, a s’more with scripture along with a summer reading challenge with recap cards. Everyone had a fun day filling the church sidewalks with encouraging words and pictures and soaking up some sunshine as they played a few games. This year the focus was on prayer. So many kids stepped out of their comfort zone and prayed out loud for our class, so many kids, that Miss Tina had to keep a list of kids who wanted to pray! To witness this progression was a true gift from God.
Junior High-LW JH started off their last day together for this school year with student lead prayer, a meal and a great time of fellowship. We all needed some time outside so Mr. Ross got the kickball and a speaker filling the air with Josiah Queen and Forest Frank music. Mr. Ross asked the kids to share some kind words about LW and Miss Tina. As we prayed together one last time emotions were high and God wrapped His arms around each of us. God is good, all the time! And all the time, God is good.
Miss Tina and the LW board hope to see the kids and their families at the Summerfest Parade and pray for a fun and safe summer!
