Chewy's HOPE

Chewy's HOPE Chewy’s Hope Rescue is a Non-Profit Dog Rescue, with 501(c)(3) status We do not have a physical shelter. We do offer assistance with networking resources.

Chewy’s Hope Rescue is a Non-Profit Organization, with 501(c)(3) status, that is concentrated on saving the lives of adoptable Texas shelter dogs, specifically, but not limited to, Wise County Shelter dogs. Our goal is to save death row dogs of all sizes and all breeds by placing them into loving, forever homes in the state of Texas and to work with other Rescue Organizations nationwide to accompl

ish our goals. We are an all-volunteer, foster home based, nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Boyd, TX. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases and at adoption events/expos. These dogs are at the shelter, who have no voice, have been abandoned, lost, neglected, discarded or abused and many of them have medical issues, that if treated would make them highly adoptable. With limited resources, most Texas shelters have no way out for their dogs but RESCUE. These dogs are victims of euthanasia simply because there is no room for them, and they are without family, love or representation and we aim to save as many as we can. We want to feel that we played a very small part of doing something good in this world. If we can make just a small difference one dog at a time, it can add up to a big difference over time. If one dog is saved, then we changed at least one life for the better. We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering. Chewy’s Hope Rescue is not taking public found strays or owner surrenders at this time. At this time, we feel that our services and skills will be best applied if we prioritize the rescue of dogs on death row.

Thanks to everyone involved. What a fun day and Chewy's Hope dogs will benefit greatly for the generous donations.

Meet Carrie ❤️

Carrie is a sweet 7-year-old Dachshund girl whose world was turned upside down when her beloved person passed away. Through no fault of her own, she found herself at a local shelter, wondering where her family went.

Despite everything she’s been through, Carrie hasn’t lost her loving spirit. Her favorite place in the world is a warm lap, and she would happily spend hours snuggled up with her favorite person. If you’re looking for a true companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Carrie is your girl.

This adorable little lady is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s receiving love and attention. She doesn’t ask for much—just a comfy spot to curl up, a kind hand to pet her, and a family to call her own again.

Carrie has so much love left to give and is ready to fill her new home with companionship, loyalty, and cuddles. After losing everything she knew, she deserves a second chance at happiness.

If you’ve been searching for the perfect lap dog, look no further—Carrie is waiting for you. 🐾💕

Meet Dori 💕

Dori is a sweet 13-year-old Dachshund girl with a gentle heart and a simple wish: to be loved again.

After losing the person she adored, Dori found herself at a local shelter through no fault of her own. Despite all the changes she’s endured, this little lady still has so much love to give. She enjoys quiet companionship, soft beds, and being close to her people.

Dori would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where she can spend her golden years feeling safe and cherished. She prefers human friends and can be a bit snappy with other dogs if they get too close to her personal space, so she may do best as the only pet or with respectful dogs who understand her boundaries.

At 13 years young, Dori isn’t looking for adventure—she’s looking for a lap, a cozy place to nap, and someone who will love her for the rest of her days. In return, she’ll offer loyal companionship, sweet devotion, and a grateful heart.

If you’re looking to make a tremendous difference in the life of a deserving senior dog, Dori is waiting to meet you. ❤️🐾

“All Dori wants is a second chance at love.”

Dori and Carrie just wanted to drop in to let everyone know they are doing great in their foster home but they sure are hoping for a home of their own. They just need a lap to lie in. They will be up for adoption after they get their dentals on Wed. They are not bonded so can be adopted separately.

Don't miss out! The auction is benefiting Chewy's Hope! We are looking for donations to fill the units to be auctioned off. Let me know if you have any donations. Looking for things that would make people more likely to bid on a unit. If anyone knows someone that works at Lowes or Tractor Supply or Bomgaars, maybe they could hit them up to donate something! This is an awesome chance we are being given to support Chewy's Hope. Funds are low as we have spent over $10,000 getting little Cookie's plumbing fixed and we just took in 2 dachsunds who need dentals and a lot of teeth removed. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1H1hj9HCu8/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I’m a little late sharing this update on our sweet Cookie 💛

A couple weeks ago, we took her back to Texas A&M for two more procedures. Cookie was part of a trial for a new human urethral bulking agent and was the very first patient treated after their training. Right after that, she was spayed.

We already knew Cookie’s anatomy was unique, but it turned out to be even more complex than expected. She actually had two uteruses that partially formed and two vaginas, on top of her ureters not connecting where they should. Every vet who’s seen her has called her “interesting,” so we’ve officially nicknamed her Interesting Cookie. Even A&M said she’s one of the most unique cases they’ve had.

We truly can’t say enough good things about the team at the A&M Vet Hospital—they’ve been incredible. At this point, it looks like the procedures have worked, and we’re hopeful for a smoother road ahead 🤞

That said, the costs have added up significantly. We’re sharing two invoices from A&M totaling over $8,000 (in the comments), and that doesn’t include everything done locally—like a $800 CT scan and treatment for multiple infections.

If you feel led to help, we would be so grateful:

Thank you all so much for your support and love for Cookie 🐾
