We want to address recent posts and rumors regarding the status of our Lodge. To be clear: Boyd Lodge #479 is currently OPEN.

However, we do have an important update regarding our future. At our last stated meeting, the members of Boyd Lodge voted and agreed to begin the process of merging with Eureka Lodge No. 371.

What does this mean?

We are not closing immediately. This merger is a process that will take 2 years years to finalize and requires final approval from the Grand Lodge of Texas.

Business as usual. During this transition time, we will remain open, holding our stated meetings and floor schools as scheduled.

Community Support. We are still dedicated to helping and supporting the Boyd community during this time.

We appreciate the support of Eureka Lodge No. 371 and our local community as we navigate this transition.

I was privileged to witness a milestone event this evening. A very dear friend was presented with the MW Grand Lodge of Texas 50 Year Masonic Award. My friend and most likely yours, has seen so much happen over the years. Just try and think how many young men have been mentored by a 50 year Mason. How many Masons has this person met, witnessed becoming new masons and said goodbye to fallen brethren. Numerous offices held. I would like to say it was an honor and a privilege to be present this evening.
Thank you to Eddy Carraway for your service and dedication to our fraternity. Thank you Eddy for your excellent example you set for me and others. Thank you for being my friend and I’m so proud to have you as a true brother. Congratulations Eddy for your 50 years…
