PTO Meeting Notes from August Meeting
The monthly PTO meeting was held on Thursday, August 13th at 5pm.
Treasurer's Report - Account Balance is $7, 366.12
Old Business -
Recap of 2025/2026 School Year
Recap summer meeting with Mr. Peterson.
New Business - (there was a lot to cover with it being the start of the school year).
2026/2027 Budget
Box Tops - Referral Bonus, our goal for school year is to raise $1,000 - we are currently at $125.40 for school year.
Staff Meeting - Monday 8/17 - introduce PTO at 9:30am
Mini Grant Procedure - We updated our policy - We will be making a new PDF form. Will post in teacher work room.
Open House/Welcome Back Day - Wednesday 8/19 @ 2pm-6pm. Set up at 12:30/1pm. We need table space for Club Choice Cookies, Midwest Mixes Dips, School Supplies, Box Tops. Amy will bring 2 tables. Jessica will put together box top prize basket. Everyone should wear their PTO shirt.
Teacher and Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast - We scheduled it for Wednesday, September 9th. The theme will be Welcome Back. We will post a sign up sheet for parents who wish to sign up to
send something to school for the appreciation breakfast. The bus drivers will have mostly grab
and go options.
Bulldog Spirit Fundraising Items - We ordered several school spirit themed items to sell. We will have a table at a couple Jr. Bulldog practices and at the Homecoming varsity game. We priced the items.
Apparel Sale - The sale ends 8/23. We will be ordering shirts for all new students. We will be checking on how much it would be to order stocking hats to sell this winter.
Pickle Fest - Dunk Tank and Parade - Jenni is getting the dunk tank. The fire department will fill it for us on Saturday and Sunday. We will be using a truck for the parade. We will meet on 8/20 at Jr. Bulldog practice to do a decorating run through to make sure we don't need anything additional. Amy will be picking up candy at Woodmans or Sam's Club.
Halloween Party - Friday 10/30 - We will discuss more at the September meeting.
Fundraiser dates for 2026/2027 school year were discussed. We decided to offer an ice cream party for the class that sells the most Midwest Mixes.
Upcoming Appreciation Days for September were discussed.
