We are a Bowmansville, NY-based garden club whose goals are to promote the art of growing flowers, interest in gardening, protection of native plants and birds, and adding beauty to public places within the community.

Bowmansville Garden Club June’s update:
On Monday, June 1, 2026, the Bowmansville Garden Club ladies ventured to Clarence, NY to view Colleen O’Neal’s, a horticulturist and caretaker, beautiful gardens. Colleen provided a guided tour of her lush landscaping that contained a multitude of perennials, many seating areas and sculptures sprinkled throughout. In addition, she had many plants available for sale that our members purchased.
Visiting and touring the many gardens in the area is one of the many aspects of the Bowmansville Garden Club that we enjoy doing. It’s always a wonderful way to spend a summer evening and to enjoy Nature’s beauty.
As always, a meeting was held after the tour where refreshments were available.
Next month, on July 6th, the Club members will be touring Murray’s Hosta Show Gardens in Orchard Park, NY.

The Bowmansville Garden Club May 2026 update:
On Monday, May 4, 2026 the Bowmansville Garden Club members met at the Bowmansville Firehall, located at 36 Main Street in Bowmansville to create a Mother’s Day topiary.
Milissa J, who is very talented in design and floral arrangement, provided step by step instructions on how to create a floral topiary. She also provided all of the materials needed and then let us use our imagination and creativity to create our own design.
The end results were spectacular and unique and we all got to take our lovely topiary’s home to enjoy for Mother’s Day.
Milissa also created a gorgeous topiary for our hostess table.
In June, our members will take a garden tour in Clarence with speaker Colleen O’Neal, the owner, horticulturist and caretaker.

April update from the Bowmansville Garden Club.
The members met at the Bowmansville Fire Hall at 7:00PM on Monday, April 13,2026. At our March meeting, members created a ceramic frog that we used in April’s program to create a floral line arrangement. Members were asked to bring in flowers, their frog and a vase.
Kathy K. demonstrated how to use the frog in the vase to hold the flower stems in place. She also noted other types of aids; sticky wax, tape, wire, etc, to assist in creating a flower arrangement, in addition to using various types of flowers and foliage. The members had fun and were very creative in making their floral design.
In addition, Kathy brought in pansies, that members will grow and press, for our November horticulture project.
At our May 4th meeting, Milissa J. will provide materials and lead us in making a topiary.
At the Spring District meeting, that was held on April 9th, Milissa J’s centerpiece received the most votes, for a three-peat! Once again, congratulations to Milissa for her wonderfully designed spring centerpiece.
