A reminder that we are a part of the Kroger Community Rewards Program! Link your Kroger shoppers card to us and a few cents from your purchases will benefit the community through us! This doesn't cost you anything. We are excited to be a part of this program. This is an easy way you can support us if you cannot help with local litter clean-ups. We cannot see who is linked to us, so we will continue to share this information in hopes of reaching any friends who would like to help. Thank you for supporting nonprofits!

Gwinnett Great Days of Service! We cleaned up Club Drive Park in Lawrenceville. A big shout out to our volunteers Camille and Dean! We got 11 bags of trash from the fence line and the side of the pond. A beautiful morning!

Some odd things we found: rubber duck, fire extinguisher, bobbers, a whisk, a toy shovel.

We're excited to share some great news! After learning about Blight Bandits’ efforts to reduce plastic waste, Right Bites Cooking School at Wimberley’s Roots has made a wonderful change. Thanks to Jake Connor, UGA Extension Family & Consumer Sciences Agent, and Suzanne Moses, their Community Engagement Coordinator, their cooking classes are now even more eco-friendly!

Jake leads monthly classes on healthy eating and nutrition, teaching participants how to make simple, sustainable swaps for better health. Previously, these hands-on sessions used single-use plastic utensils. Now, Suzanne has switched all classes to reusable, eco-friendly bamboo cutlery and even provides guests with reusable shopping bags for prizes, fresh produce, and leftovers!

We’re so grateful to Jake and Suzanne for leading the way in both healthy living and caring for our environment. Here’s to making small changes that have a big impact—for ourselves and our community! 🌱🍽️💚

If you are interested in attending the free classes each month, here is the link: https://www.wimberlysroots.com/ourevents

Taking a load off to the recycle yard.
You should take a moment and look around your house and see what kind of things you could recycle. Landfills are busting at the seams.
