Free events in Bowling Green. Get some use out of your bike. Meet the BikeWalk BG folks at the Student life showcase on Aug. 26th on campus 10 to 2. Stop by our table too.

THIS IS A FREE EVENT! Pre-registration is open & preferred but not required.

Meet up no later than 5:45pm at back parking lot of Ku**er Little Rec Center (free parking). Roll out at 6:00pm. Ride will be about 10-12 miles on city streets, bike lanes, and greenways. Stick around post-ride to socialize and enjoy the great food and treats at Lesa's Dairy Dip!

We STRONGLY encourage everyone to wear a helmet. If you do not have a helmet, please contact us several days prior to the ride and we will bring one for you to borrow. Wear light/bright colors for safety, and bike lights if you have them.

All riders should be capable of riding 10-12 miles.

If you have kids (who can ride 12 miles at adult pace) joining you, please fill out an individual form for each of them.

The Beta Upsilon Alpha chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College has earned second place in the regional competition for its College Project, recognizing the chapter’s commitment to student success, engagement and service.

📢 Veterans, we want to hear from you.

The Beta Upsilon Alpha Chapter at SKYCTC is launching an Honors in Action research project focused on the lived experiences of veterans and the factors that may contribute to su***de risk in the veteran community.

Through personal testimonies and analyzing collected quantitative data, our Chapter hopes to go beyond the numbers to try to identify mental health trends, evaluate the effectiveness of current veteran programs, and uncover any gaps that may still exist, because even one overlooked story could mean a life we can help save.

The BUA Chapter has created a comprehensive 18-question survey that is designed for retired armed service veterans, which focuses on well-being and lived experiences and can be completed by following this link (posted below) and sending your answers by email to Alex Smith at [email protected].

However, we need as many responses as we can get by December 9 so we can analyze them alongside current mental health data and complete our research paper before our December 12 deadline.

Thank you for your service. Thank you for your story. Thank you for helping us take a step toward change in the lives of veterans both locally and worldwide.
