Day 4 and these campers are not slowing down 📈💪

The morning was packed with back-to-back sessions from Professor Rhoades covering Basics of Investing and Retirement Planning — two topics that can completely change the trajectory of your financial future when you learn them young 🙌

Then Professor Head closed out the classroom sessions with Insurance & Employee Benefits — the stuff no one teaches you but everyone needs to know 📋

In the afternoon, campers got to reconnect with local financial advisors to ask questions about their case study — getting real one-on-one insight from someone in the field 📞

Next up, campers had Dinner and a Q&A Panel with Abound CEO Ray Springsteen and Chief People Officer Jill Krimm🎤 Campers got to sit across from top executives and ask real questions — that kind of access is truly priceless!

After dinner the fun continued at the Preston Health & Activities Center and DSU Rec Room 🎮🏀 And let’s not forget — the Written Team Case was due today! These students put in the work 💼

Day 3 and we kept the momentum going 🔥📚

We started the morning with Tax Planning with Professor Head — because yes, taxes matter and it’s never too early to learn 💼 Then Jake Darabos, CPA and Chief Finance and Administration Officer at Abound Credit Union came in to walk campers through Financial Institutions, Savings and Borrowing — real knowledge from a real professional!

Next up, WKU President Caboni stopped by to meet our campers! 🎉

In the afternoon, Chuck Eads, Chief Lending Officer at Abound Credit Union and Abound team members led an awesome session called “So You Think You’re Ready to Buy a Car?” 🚗 Campers were asking the right questions and getting answers straight from the source.

To cap off the day, we had a blast at our game night featuring Opportunity Abound, jeopardy, games on the lawn, and a movie (in the one and only Houchens Auditorium)

Day 2 in the books 📖✨

We kicked off the morning with Cash & Budgeting and Building Credit & Student Loans with Professor Head — the essentials every young adult needs 💳 Then Professor Dipesh Bhattarai took us into the world of AI & Finance 🤖💰 These students are already ahead of the curve!

One of the many exciting parts of the day was hopping on the bus for Local Investment Firm Visits 🏦 Campers got real face time with professionals at Abound Credit Union, Wealth Enhancement, Baird, Cerity, and Glenview Trust — seeing firsthand what a career in finance looks like!

After a packed day of learning, we let loose at the Preston Health & Activities Center — pickleball, volleyball, and basketball 🏓🏀

Day 1 in the books! 🏕️ Campers checked in, got settled into the dorms, scored some awesome Abound Credit Union water bottles, learned a great overview of financial planning with Professor Head, raced through a campus scavenger hunt, and capped off the night with team building and games.
