The Voices of Southern Kentucky are three rehearsals in on preparations for a concert entitled “Love and Light.” Amongst the works on the program is Richard Waters’ “Courage for Love” - powerful settings of the poetry of Wendell Berry.
Little did we know that Berry, Kentucky’s beloved poet, would pass during our preparation of these texts.
Thank you, sir, for your deep thoughts and your gift of word. We hope we do them justice.
“Hate has no world.
The people of hate must try
to possess the world of love,
for it is the only world;
it is Heaven and Earth.”
