Brown Bag Food Project Wood County Ohio The Brown Bag Food Project provides emergency food to those in need in Wood County, Ohio. (nonprofit)

The Brown Bag Food Project is a non profit in Wood County that provides 5-7 days worth of food and toiletries to families in urgent need. 14.8% of residents in Wood County struggle with food insecurity and are unsure of where their next meal is going to come from. The Brown Bag Food Project addresses the emergency need food with limited delivery to people who are completely homebound. We offer a well balanced assortment of both perishable and non perishable items while being able to address any specific dietary restrictions our clients may have. We also provide them with toiletries such as tooth brushes, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products since food stamps do not cover these items. Most importantly we do not deny service to anyone in Wood County and do everything we can to make sure every person is treated with dignity and respect. To receive services:

Brown Bag Food Project works because of partnerships like this one. Every week we receive donations of frozen soup to include in our distributions. What an honor to get their 10,000th meal!

Thank you to everyone involved in this program combining food rescue with helping our community.

This week, Tim’s Rescue Kitchen proudly delivered our 10,000th meal of 2026! This milestone is a reflection of the incredible generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community supporters.

We were honored to deliver this special meal to our partners at the Brown Bag Food Project Wood County Ohio. We’re grateful for their partnership and the important work they do to help our neighbors.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make these 10,000 meals possible. Together, we’re making a difference, one meal at a time!

🌸 Meet the man behind the flowers! 🌸

If you’ve noticed how beautiful Downtown BG’s flower pots have looked all summer, there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes care that goes into keeping them that way — and Tom Ross is a big part of it! 👏

Downtown Bowling Green partners with the City of Bowling Green each summer to help keep our downtown flowers watered, cared for, and blooming all season long. Tom plays an important role in making that partnership work and keeping Downtown looking its best.

Our flower program is also made possible through the generosity of our community. If you love seeing Downtown in bloom, you can help support next year’s flowers with a donation! 🌺🌿

Thank you, Tom, the City of Bowling Green, and everyone who helps keep Downtown BG blooming! 💚
