Wood County Top Shots Wood County Top Shots is a 4-H shooting sports club sanctioned by Ohio State University Extension. Most of our instructors have multiple certification.

The focus is Positive Youth Development - developing life skills & critical thinking skills. The Wood County Top Shots 4-H Shooting Sports Club has been in existence since 2008. We offer the following disciplines: Archery, R***e, Pistol, Crossbow, Sh***un, Living History, Hunting and Wildlife. All disciplines are taught by Instructors certified by Ohio State University and the National 4-H Shooting Sports program. We also have a program for Junior Leaders. The Junior Leaders go through the same training as the Instructors. The primary difference is that until a Junior Leader turns 21, he or she can only instruct under the supervision of a certified Instructor. Each certification requires a weekend of intense training. Top Shots enjoys the support of local Law Enforcement. We meet and hold range sessions in R***e and Pistol at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 109 on the Wood County Fair Grounds.

Due to unforseen circumstances both Pistol and Sh***un will be canceled this week.

Archery will continue on 05/12 at 6:30pm.

The advisors will meet this week to determine what the rest of this 4H year will look like. We politely ask that you refrain from reaching out to Steve or Donna at this time. We will update everyone as soon as we are able to.

The Maumee Valley Friends of NRA Banquet was held at Holland Gardens on Friday, March 20. Grant funds from Friends of NRA goes to support our shooting sports program. We are provided with fi****ms, am******on, safety gear and other necessary things to keep the costs to the participants of our program to a minimum. We had several of our members help with the auction. Thanks to Stella and Scarlett Sears, Olivia Rogers, Evan Strausbaugh and Myles Petree for attending the banquet and showing the attendees what the money raised goes to support.
