We need to hold a vote on whether the Marche will be reduced to a hamlet rather than a, um, marche. In a nutshell this would mean the marche would lose any independence from the barony and would no longer require its own officers. In effect we would still need someone to handle the keys and write the rent checks, but that would have to be from baronial funds because the marche would no longer have its own separate bank account. I think there's a Google document link in the Facebook group but I don't think there's much more to it than that.
This would not necessarily be a permanent change, but if we were to go down to a hamlet and later want to restore the marche I believe we would need the required officers ready to swear in.
The intent is to vote on this as a barony at the next baronial meeting on Sunday the 25th, so we should hold an official vote for the Marche next Thursday the 22nd. We can spend some time talking about it tomorrow night as well if people are interested.
