May is Older Americans Month and the 2025 theme is, “Flip the Script on Aging”, focuses on transforming how society perceives, talks about, and approaches aging. It encourages individuals and communities to challenge stereotypes and dispel misconceptions. Help us celebrate by considering volunteering for the Barren River Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. Yesterday, Community Education held the “34th Annual Volunteers of the Year Awards” ceremony.
We were proud to nominate The Barren River Long-Term Care Ombudsman Volunteers, for the Team Spirit Award.

We are so thankful for their time and dedication to our program, they truly make a difference everyday!

Resident councils can play a crucial role in voicing concerns, requesting improvements, supporting new residents, and supporting facility efforts to ensure the highest quality care and life possible.
