Today, Thursday August 12 through Saturday, August 14, Bowling Green Assembly will be sending representatives to a local job fair at the Greenwood Mall. If you have family, friends, acquaintances, etc. who may be interested in a job at our plant, please feel free to let them know that BGA will have a booth and folks on site at the mall from 11 am – 6 pm each day to assist with job details, application and overall information.

Memorial service for Retired Brother Danny Denihan is this Sunday from 1pm - 2:30pm at the Union Hall

The target group for this testing would be retired members that began working in an industrial factory in 1979 or before and have had at least 5 years in the workplace. Naval Veterans that began their military career in 1979 or before are eligible as well. Please see the posted information below.

In memory of Terry Morgan...

Terry died suddenly of a heart attack last week. His memorial service is today from 3pm-6pm at Hardy & Sons, Bowling Green Chapel. (Funeral service at 6pm) Terry was an active employee, working in the paint department and on strike at the time of his passing. He will surely be missed by all that knew him.

**SOLIDARITY SUNDAY**

On this day, this second Solidarity Sunday, I say to you my brothers and sisters of the UAW, In the name of Solidarity and everything that is sacred to our brotherhood and sisterhood in the UAW, that we cannot let ANY divisions come between us. We have got to stay perfectly united in our stand and our belief that what we are fighting for is right and it is just.

We raise our fists in the air for one another, United in Solidarity for a common goal. Until our goal is met, I urge you, sisters and brothers, to keep that fist in the air and say to yourself and encourage others to say, “We will Not Yield!”

I’m inspired by the Apostle Paul’s words to the church and the people of Corinth. In 1 Corinthians, the Bible says this, “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”

The church still stands today my brothers and sisters because Jesus’ followers were perfectly united in mind and thought.

Sisters and Brothers, join us today beginning at Gate 1 @ 12:00pm. We will have a word of prayer as we stand together, united in mind and thought.
