Holiday assistance for Wood County families with children ages 18 and younger ⬇️

Attention Wood County friends. These are the dates for our Christmas sign ups. We are now located in the WAM office at St Marks on Fridays.

It was an exciting day for our CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate) and CRB (Citizen Review Board) programs!! Two volunteers took the Oath from Judge Woessner this morning.

Welcome to new CASA volunteer Jessica W, who recently completed over 30 hours of pre-service training and observation. Jessica is in the process of being appointed to her first case and will be advocating for 2 Wood County children.

And welcome back to returning CRB volunteer Jane E, who maintains at least 6 hours of training annually and meets with her colleagues monthly to review case plans on behalf of the Juvenile Court.

CASA volunteers, CRB volunteers, and staff enjoyed our August in-service led by Caroline Beachy from the Children's Resource Center -- we learned about the new residential facility that will be opening soon on their campus.

We appreciate all that CRC does to support the children and youth in Wood County!

Support is here for youth in crisis. Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) are now available statewide at no charge for those 20 or under. Just call 988 and ask for MRSS to connect with a trained response team.

Happy CASA-versary to Liz M., who is celebrating 1 year today as a Wood County CASA volunteer!

During that year, Liz has completed more than 30 hours of pre-service training as well as 1.5 hours of ongoing training. Liz has donated 56 hours and driven more than 500 miles in advocating for 2 youth.

Please join us in congratulating Liz and thanking her for her gift to Wood County!
