We are active in the community through our search and rescue operations, disaster relief efforts and youth programs. Civil Air Patrol is made up of adults (ages 21+) and teens (ages 12-18). We are always looking for new members. If you are interested in learning more about the Bowie Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, consider attending one of our weekly meetings. We meet Thursdays from 7

Our Story

The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is made up of highly trained, non-paid volunteers who donate their time to the non-profit organization. CAP boasts more than 56,000 adult and youth members nationwide with more than 1,500 members serving in Maryland. We are looking for adult and teen volunteers to join in our community service efforts. CAP's missions include search and rescue, disaster relief and homeland security missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies. Members also play a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to more than 26,000 young people currently participating in CAP cadet programs. Visit www.bowiesquadron.org for more.
