A decade has passed since the four young women from the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 66 honored The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. This esteemed honor usually bestowed upon world leaders, highlights the significance of fostering patriotism among the younger generation. Unit 66 proudly presented these young women as exemplars of patriotism. We urge American Legion family members to engage children in our local ceremonies such as wreath laying, flag etiquette, and color guard duties, to cultivate a sense of patriotism. Let us teach them.
