2nd Star Productions A community theatre group in Bowie, MD, that strives to both produce high quality shows and create an atmosphere where people can grow and have fun.

2nd Star Productions was founded in January 1996 by Jane Wingard, John Guyton, and Gordon Gustin - a theatrically experienced trio who decided to "make their own rules for the sandbox." In addition to producing high-quality shows, they wanted to create an atmosphere where people can grow, have fun and feel that their contributions were highly valued. 2nd Star Productions performs 3 musicals a season at the Bowie Playhouse at Whitemarsh Park in Bowie, MD. The theater seats 150.

2nd Star Productions is committed to bringing Prince George's County (where co-founder Jane Wingard was a teacher for 28 years) and the City of Bowie (where co-founder John Guyton was raised) the finest community theater in the Baltimore/Washington/Annapolis area through performance, involvement, and education.

2nd Star is thrilled to announce that auditions are officially open for our soon-to-be-revealed Fall Musical! (Please note that due to temporary licensing restrictions, we can’t quite announce our show title yet, but the work needs to get started! Thanks for understanding!)

Important Casting Notes:
We are seeking performers of all races, ages, ethnicities, gender identities, body types, and abilities for all roles
Children aged 14+ may be considered
Deaf/HoH performers and performers with physical disabilities are encouraged to audition
Looking for unique Circus type skills (for example: juggling, unicycle, tumbling, hand walking, etc)
All roles are open

Location: All Saints Lutheran Church, 16510 Mt Oak Rd, Bowie, MD 20716

Dates and Times: Thursday, June 11th from 7pm-10pm, and Saturday June 13th 11am-3pm
